I binged the new Avatar show on Netflix and absolutely LOVED it!
Yes they changed some parts but idc, they still stick to the main plot.
And so here I am, doing what I can do best: editing Zutara

It was a 8/10 for me way better than the movie
i really liked it, they showed us every character's human side and they got rid of Katara's overprotection over Aang

Well, her age is actually closer to Aang's actor believe it or not 😂 That's why I'm kinda reluctant to ship Zutara in the live action. I still don't ship Kataang though. It just feels wrong.
Not to be rude, but don't start with this shit again. This is the reason I can only barely tolerate Zutara. If the only way you can justify your ship is inventing non-existant reasons to trash another one, maybe there's a reason your ship isn't cannon.
Not really if they start filming s2 in the coming summer kiawentiio will be 18 and gordon 14. Despite the gap being bigger with Dallas it's not as awkward as with Aang's actor and its still not weird, he will only be 22-23. Both young adults.honestly the best course of action might be having no romance or at least clear endgame, zutara will be shipped whether it's canon or not @other7128

Just stop trashing Kataang, it's cannon for a reason, and frankly, the entire foundation behind zutara is mommy issues, physical appearances, carry over from the American Dragon fandom and an obsession with the opposites attract and enemies to lovers tropes. Aang and Katar actually have a positive healthy relationship based on friendship, emotional connection and shared values. Zutara only makes sense on a superficial level, Kataang makes sense based on the characters. Also, there's still another two seasons, Gordon will grow. They're probably saving the Kataang romance for season 3.
@@iainwhite8617 Thanks for saying what I was about to say in this comment section. The Zutara ship is being forced super hard here by fans when there is barely any reason to put them together. Most of these edits have the same scenes and they don't even show any overt or covert steps being written out in lines or actions to show any attraction or care for one another in the two characters. Forcing ships like this because the fans want it so bad is why some good shows tend to die. Arrow on The CW is a perfect example and it killed the MC with another character that was not even comic canon. All in all, this live action adaptation really did more to make me furious with Netflix for butchering a masterpiece that is Avatar the Last Airbender

at first i got worried because they changed even the episode of Kataang being in the " Cave of two lovers" which i loved the change, but then i thought...what if they do not make zutara? And do not give her the healing water? And then we've got Paku giving Katara the healing water and i was screaming!! Because making Zuko decide between joining the gaang or Azula because of that scene with Katara is very improtant. I do not want to make him choose Azula because of his conversation with Aang ( even though it was a very nice scene). But then the scarf scene....And why else Bryke left? Everything seems very good so why they were angry and left?
I just watched this with my bf and i told him that zutara shippers are going to make edits of them together, it's funny to see it real a day later😭😭😭

i was waiting too, but they did not make the sun give the firebenders more power in the last episode of s1 in Natla, only to regain more power because the waterbenders lost their ability to bend, so technically Zuko ( even though i wanted him to say it) he did not have a reason to say it and then...they might erased that line, they might make him say it later to us aaaand we've got a funky scarf scene so....im good. They took something away and gave us something more valuable.

During the course of the series, I had hoped for something to develop between Zuko and Katara. There was a clear chemistry between them throughout the series, and it's no coincidence that events unfolded the way they did. Nobody can convince me otherwise that a romantic thread didn't emerge back then. I trust that this bond, this connection between them, will be captured in the Netflix series as well.
Zuko and Katara could have helped each other immensely in processing their traumas, especially considering that opposites attract. Much like Aang and Katara, Zuko and Katara form a very strong duo.
This ship just makes more sense than Katara and Aang!! Im so ready for it!!😊😊😊
As someone who's a Zutara fan but also didn't have a problem of Katara ending with aang in the animation... I can say I would prefer Zutara in the show because Aang looks like a child even more in the show and im sorry but I can't imagine Katara and Aang together 😭😭
By season 3 they will all be adults so it doesn't matter anymore. I think Ang is already taller than Katara in real life.

I've been gobbling up edits that mix animated and live-action Zutara ever since that scarf scene and this one's no different! I love these two so much! And this is so well done!!
This was so fast lmao Zutarians are on a different level 😂 i ship it but tbh I dont think theyre going tobhave any romances happen in the live action. Seeing how serious the war is and how its affected everyone, it makes so much sense that katara and aang and zuko are so preoccupied with fighting and suriving that it's not really on their radar.
I hope that happens. The actors are really far apart in ages anyway. Katara's actress is 3-4 years older than Aang's, I don't want to see them kiss, ew. At their ages, 3-4 years is a lot. Zuko's actor is 5 years older than Katara's, which would technically be fine once she's 18 but still a big age gap at their ages. This show doesn't need much romance anyway. Aang is 12 - who falls in love and stays with that person for the rest of their life at age 12? He can get together with Katara once they're older for all I care. Still think Katara would've gotten with Zuko if we're being realistic, but whatever.

I can't stop watching it!!! The parallels god! And also the whole story about Oma and Su and their clothes and that they used to meet on top of the mountain of their villages bc they were " enemies" and Katara and Zuko first fight on top of the mountain in Kyoshi Island ( that was divided from Avatar Kyoshi in battle and from another land and then became Kyoshi Island, so it reminds me of Omasu) and both Katara and Zuko are enemies at that point.

I knew this was going to be a ship the moment that particular scene in Omashu where Zuko touches Katara's scarf without her even realizing that he was ryt there.. That particular scene was epic and foreshadowing of the future "ship" or should I say potential love story between Zoku and Katara.. And I'm all for it!!
I would love for the adaptation to give us Zuko and Katara be a couple. Since they are already changing the story. Let this be the ending for us that ship them

No one is trashing kataang, people are just aloud an opinion, let’s be honest, it’s not about how old the actors are, even if aang is actually 112, bis body and brain are that of a 12 year old, katara is 14, she even said in EPSIODE ONE OF THE MIVE ACTION, “he’s just a kid” implying she thinks of him as a child, wants to protect him because in her eyes she’s a child, yes in the og they do end up together, but let’s be honest, it’s a live action, meaning more people will watch it, people that are most likely older, take my dad for instance, my dad is in his 50s, doesn’t like the og atla, but he likes the live action, my brother is 21, he doesn’t like the og, but likes the live action, more people are going to watch this, and they’re not going to keep watching it if they realise that a 14 is going to kiss someone who looks like a 7 year old, if it’s canon in the live action my family (not me) will definitely stop watching and they’re going to think it’s weird, it’s bringing more people in and more people are watching it, things may change, and if you toxic kataang shippers can’t get over the fact it may not happen, then I’m sorry but your going to have to rewatch the OG, cause what your not understanding is this isn’t the OG, it’s different, don’t expect everything to line up, know before you say, “shut up your just a zutara shipper” for your information I’m a multi shipper and like them both equally, if you ask me, it’s better if there’s no romance, more action.

Zuko and Katara both lost a mother, well zuko and azula kinda did, in a book the its aays the mother ask the spirits in a tree or sum shit to take away all her memories except of her sons. She was still alive and atleast Azula got to meet her again

I ship Zutara so much. So, so much. They are my OTP and…well…they had better become a couple in the Live Action series. I will be very upset, disappointed, pissed, confused, and irritated if they don’t. I completely and utterly HATE Kataang, Jetara, and Zuko/Mai.

Honestly, I hope not. Zuko and Mei are literally goals and given Katara's trauma surrounding the fire nation, it's just weird. Ship what you want, this is my personal opinion of it, but I hope the writers stay true to canon because Zuko's and Mei's childhood friends to lovers story, where she goes against Azula because she loves him more than she fears her, is amazing.
