This year we spent a week on Crete and it was AMAZING. We loved it so much that it's even impossible to explain. Greek people are surely fantastic as well - always kind, sincere and real.

I am Greek..My salary until 2011 was around 1300 euros and the last 2 years is 900 euros..Ι don't live like i used before but,why all of you,who are thinking to come and visit Greece have to be influenced from that?I can't understand that.They took our money but no the sunlight and the fucking amazing sea.I mean these shits don't have to do with you the tourists!!So don't let the greek economic crise to through you down and come here if you like Greece.Enjoy it and forget all these fake stereotypes for greeks that TV channels and blogs have fixed.Relax guys!!Relax!!

Brilliant, for once a great video about tourism in Greece. The comments reflect current politics in the country and abroad among Greeks. Pessimism at its best and bitterness about the financial situation does not change the fact that Greece is a wonderful place for holidays, albeit not so great to live in. I wonder though if any of you have seen videos or ads from Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Turkey and other sun holiday destinations: do you think they portray reality more accurately? If so, book a ticket for there - just make sure your holiday is short and your travel insurance premium!
Anyone who says Greeks are lazy just doesn't know anything. Greeks work really hard, and yet still keep their calmness and friendliness - it was actually quite a big surprise for us!

So our dear ministry of tourism is trying to say that there's no crisis in Greece and that Greeks are happy. Well, in their vast majority they're not. Of course this does not mean that Greece is not beautiful or that it's dangerous for tourists. Greece is ruled by governments that are hostile to the majority of the population and no man on earth should pay any respect to them. For the rest any tourist can enjoy their vacation in Crete or elsewhere as they do it in Portugal, Bulgaria, Turkey, Thailand, Ethiopia or any other poor countries with nice people ruled by bastards.

Yep the clip absolutely correct. Nothing bad is gonna happen to you in Greece. The crisis hasn't affected the greek hospitality at all.
And now one comment for the greeks - Όταν μιλάω στα Ελληνικά όλοι είναι παρά πολύ φιλόξενοι. Οι έλληνες είναι πολύ ευτυχισμένοι. Γίνομαι φίλος σε όλους τους έλληνες :D . Times are really hard in Greece , Last week we only went out 5 Nights :-)))
Το Ελληνικό κέφι θα ζει για πάντα !!!!!!!
Και εγώ προχθές πήγα Κρήτη, Αχ τι φιλοξενεία παιδιά !!! Πήγαμε σε μια παραλία και μετά για φαγητό οπου ο εστιάτορας δεν μας χρέωσε καθόλου 12 ευρώ τη μερίδα, αντιθέτως μας κέρασε όλο το λογαριασμό στο τέλος. Μετά πήγαμε για καφέ, οπου ο σερβιτόρος μας κέρασε και εκείνος το φρέντο των 6 ευρώ, γιατί είχε καλή ψυχή και φιλόξενο Ελληνικό πνεύμα. Μετά στο ξενοδοχείο, ο διευθυντής δεν μας χρέωσε το δίκλινο 150 ευρώ τη βραδυά, αντιθέτως μας έκανε δώρο την σουίτα γιατί απλά, αγαπάει τους Έλληνες.
