Hello friends,
Recently I got to stay at a beautiful old manor house with my friend Beth. We got up early in the morning to explore the beautiful grounds and catch a few moments of peace before the rest of the world awakened.
I love exploring old manors, marvelling at architectural details and thinking about past - who else wandered here before me? Who lived here, dreamed here, enjoyed these beautiful grounds? I'm fascinated with history and architecture as much as with nature, and I would like to show you more of this.

Hello friends,
Life got super busy lately, but I finally feel much better and lighter than I did in spring. I look back at it and feels like spring never happened - it went from winter to summer right away. I've been travelling with my family in the beginning of June - I see them once a year, but this time I happened to see them twice in three months. Then I spent a day with a friend at this beautiful manor house. And now life is back to normal, a slower pace which I enjoy much more.🌸

8 minutes of pure escapism.. bliss! Each season has its beauties. You're inspiring me to simply begin. To try , no matter the outcome or my ignorance of gardening.. I've wanted to have a container garden for years. I have decided to just begin. 😊
Aah I’m so excited for you to try it! I’m honestly not much of a gardener myself, and quite often it doesn’t work out… for example I have 4 strawberry bushes, but only one has berries! No idea what went wrong! 🙈 But I learned to enjoy the experience rather than the result - it’s all alive, sometimes it grows, sometimes it doesn’t. But it’s exciting when the hard work does pay off! 🍃☺️
As a Spaniard who works in the tourism industry in a very famous island for the British people, I never understood why they come to massified touristic areas crowded with tons of other Brits fighting for a sunbed when they have such a beautiful countryside
and I hope it continues.....
I think its because some got used to it and had it in abundance, some don't know what it's like to be in the countryside and have no access to it where they live. I grew up in the suburbs/countryside and moved to the city recently, it shocked me the amount of people who haven't even been camping
Englishman here, and it's because of the sun, that's it, they don't want to go to Spain, to you know see the Spanish countryside or experience the culture, they just want to get drunk in the sun on cheap beer, it's very sad

Spring, summer and early fall for me are the busy times of the year. Planting, cultivating, harvesting, and preserving take up most of my days. Late fall and winter reduce the time for working outside. I think I become more contemplative then, and find time to write more, craft more and enjoy being cozy by the fire.

I agree, every season has something so magical about it. Though i feel sometimes we have too much expectations from summer - I think that’s the time when we put more pressure than any other time to be perfect. This is what I’m battling with lately, and I think I managed to succeed somewhat. No pressure, just live and do things which bring me joy.

Incredibly beautiful! I usually feel inspired and at home, somehow , watching your videos. Yes, I'm also fascinated with history and architecture....making connection to the lives that used to be, and the art of their hands. I, too, am one of those, 'I love the fall, the mist and all' melancholic types. But as I age and change, I'm enjoying summer sunshine more. And sunsets...picnics. I'd love to be your picnic partner!

Today it's one of the biggest holidays in Sweden, Midsummer's Eve, with traditional food. Another very old tradition is to pick 7 different flowers, (and there should be fences between where you pick them!) 💐 and put them under your pillow this night. 🛏 That was supposed to make you dream about who you were going to marry! ❤️

I was born in Latvia and we had a similar midsummer celebration there on this same day called Ligo (I only remember it as a child) where people stay up all night celebrating. From what I remember the tradition was to jump over fire and search for a fern flower which only blooms on that night (it doesn’t, just a legend! 😄). Funny enough I met my now husband during that celebration many years ago when we were still kids!

@@IamDaria Yes, I remember that you're from Latvia, I used to watch your videos from there. My husband took me to Riga for my birthday in 2016, we loved it. And you've been to Sweden for midsummers once! Imaine that you met your husband at Ligo!! I love ferns! We have a lot of them at our cottage.
Usually lots of people get together at Midsummer's Eve, but today it's only me & my husband. Saving some energy for tomorrow, Midsummer's Day. My best friend Pearl is a music artist. Tomorrow she and other artists are having a concert outside. There're usually 2000-3000 people at this event. In 1995 Pearl was in the Swedish Eurovision, she came 4th. The guy who won that year will be on stage after Pearl tomorrow, and they'll also sing a duet together. May the weather gods be with us! Take care!
