RadiantLlamaCinema presents Irish rebel/folk band The Druids' powerhouse live cover of "Let the People Sing" by The Wolfe Tones. Lead vocals: Gary Lawlor.
The classic nationalist tune was written by Brian Warfield in dedication to those Irish ballad singers who were banned from singing Irish songs. Popular amongst Glasgow Celtic football fans, "Let the People Sing" is played before most home games.
Formed in 2008, acclaimed Irish rebel/ballad band The Druids won Best Live Act at the 2016-2017 Irish Folk Music Awards and continues to tour, delivering patriotic songs and impassioned ballads to international audiences and bringing rich Irish history to life. The high-octane, Co. Kildare-based quartet comprises: Paddy Mangan [mandolin, vocals], Micheál Ó Brien [bodhrån, vocals], Gary Lawlor [guitar, vocals] and Zak Moran [bass, vocals].
