Lyrics
They live this day and night // This is sacrifice, No fucking compromise // They have the heart to resist // Whilst the hunters hunt, they will persist // This is where tragedy is bought and sold // It seems their pain is worth it's weight in gold // You know they're here when the water is red // Our fading life support is hanging by a thread // A message etched on broken ships // You can hear them cry, they're calling out // For the mother lost, she's bleeding out // Their innocence is heaven sent // This malevolence, it will not relent // A graveyard sits upon the shore // They won't swim together anymore // The tide will rush with waves of fear // Selling souls // The devil is near // A message etched on broken ships // We'll be here till corruption quits // There is a voice, though they cannot speak // Not yet ready to admit defeat.

*WE NEED THEM MORE THAN THEY NEED US*
Compassion has to come from the heart, not just as a result of our own desire to survive. I believe that quote actually spoils the entire song
self-preservation is universal and intrinsic so you can't criticize us for acting on it man. Besides the song is full of sanctimony anyway
I suppose that's a whole different discussion, I'm just implying that the rest of the song doesn't focus on our condition. It tries to extend that to other species as well, whereas the quote is like a step back from it.
yeah i see where you're coming from. I've not listened to these guys in 3 years anyway cheers for reminding me of their existence i might give hollow crown a spin now
Ethical egoism
That riff on 1:05 gives me insane chills
my favorite architects breakdown
@@thomasyuen1116 you will like 94 Hours by As I Lay Dying as well (at 0:35)
Insane ❤
Architects it's headbanging to the sound of the truth!
Great music, great people, great cause
These lads rule
this song, with these powerful and meaningful lyrics, could become one Sea Shepherd anthem
Tom will always be one of my favorite guitarists. listening to this band made me a better guitarist. he was extremely talented and did what he loved. He will always be missed. My heart goes out to the band and the Searle family. Much love
anyone else really love the violin part at the end? amazing song
sure i agree... amazing
Solid drumming!! Take away the vocals Architects is still very enjoyable to listen too as an instrumental band. Sam Carter is just the giant icing on the cake!!
Imagine a parkway drive and Architects collaboration, that would be world class!
but parkway isn't metalcore anymore
6 years later parkway drive singer is featuring in architects new album
Impermanence
this song makes me want to go free all the gold fish at petsmart
Thats epic. lmao
do it
you dont have to do that, just go vegan and you've played your part

@@frithband3357 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAAH
Dude the riff pattern in these songs is freaking orgasmic.
SEA SHEPHERD HARDCORE
He was a dreamer and he dreamed on. RIP
R.I.P. my friend
Dat riff. Daybreak like, love it
love it
sounds very The Here And Now like aswell :D
One of my favourite tracks. Architects have a great unique sound! Majorly impressed with this album
Architects, you are such a huge inspiration for me. I feel really identificated with all of your songs and the style of your artworks. Just the overall feeling of your personality. Keep making your music forever PLEASE, seriously. The passion that you put on your riffs, your lyrics, everything... it's just something missing in most of the actual bands. THIS IS TRULY AMAZING.
This is honestly one of architects best songs. Pure musicianship beautiful lyrics and magnificent riffs all round masterpiece.
I think, this songs was inspired by the actions of Sea Sheperd, mostly, but fits to every institution whi fights to protect animals/nature. Love this band.
that riff at 1:02
I'm not crying, you're crying :'(
💚💚💚
Someone asked why Architects' new album isn't on my Top Albums of 2014 and I said because it hasn't been released yet...well now, it's going to be on my Top Albums of 2014 list! :D
How can you do a top albums of 2014 2 months in haha?
Eifion Jones To answer your question, it's because all my favorite bands are putting out music already. If I find another band that puts out an album that's amazing this year, I'll definitely reconsider any albums that are in my Top 5 Best Albums of 2014 for sure.
2019 that song still fucking amazing
Hey, hey... They live this day and night.
This is sacrifice, no fucking compromise.
Hey, hey... They have the heart to resist.
While the hunters hunt, they will persist.
This is where tragedy is bought and sold.
It seems their pain is worth it's weight in gold.
You know they're here when the water is red.
Our fading life support is hanging by a thread.
A message etched on broken ships.
Hey, hey... They live this day and night.
This is sacrifice, no fucking compromise.
Hey, hey... They have the heart to resist.
While the hunters hunt, they will persist.
And you can hear them cry, they're calling out,
to their mother lost, she's bleeding out.
...she's bleeding out.
Their innocence is heaven sent.
Their malevolence, it will not relent.
A graveyard sits upon the shore.
They won't swim together anymore.
The tide will rush with waves of fear.
Selling souls, the devil is near.
The tide will rush in waves of fear.
Selling souls, the devil is near.
...the devil is near.
"If we're gonna survive on this planet, we have to
respect the rights of all those species to survive.
Cause we need them more than they need us."
A message etched on broken ships.
We'll be here til corruption quits.
There is a voice, though they cannot speak.
Not yet ready to admit defeat.
You can hear them cry, they're calling out,
to their mother lost, she's bleeding out.
You can hear them cry, they're calling out,
to their mother lost, she's bleeding out.
Their tragedy is bought and sold.
It seems their pain is worth it's weight in gold.
not a single complaint about any song on this album probly gonna be album of the year for me
Great album.Great band.
They said in an interview this song is about Sea Shepard and the dolphin slaughters in Japan. And the voice in the middle of the song is one of Sea Shepard's founders'.
*Shepherd
This is solid stuff. I love it!
Just started to listen to this album and before i knew it i was already on track 4. AWESOME!
this is better than classic symptoms😵💫
amazing riffs guys! qué clase io!!
perfect song !
I love them)
i cant help but think of soilwork when i hear this band. i really dig it. everything about this album is awesome
I like Soilwork but how is it similar to Architects?
Awesome!
Underrated song!
Brilliant, I am goin to actually buy this on CD for sure and i never buy CDs anymore.
HAHAH I always DL music from ITUNES unless I really love the band then I buy albums.
***** If you're getting the music and supporting the artist who gives a fuck how you own it
Ya thats why I wanta buy the album :)
*****
My friend, the level of your stupidity is extremely high.
You should be aware that Architects had no financial involvement with the production of Lost Forever/Lost Together. The record label provided them a limited amount of money, and they used it to invest in the new album. Therefore, if you buy the album, you are supporting the record label, not the artist directly. In order to support the artist, you need to: buy their merchandise, go to their shows and share their music, since sharing generates world-wide visibility.
Also, stop imposing people what they should own. If they want to buy it on Itunes, it's none of your fucking business.
They have nothing to do with the fact that labels want to spend on art-work and booklet. Consumers don't want art-work or booklet, they primarily want to listen to the songs contained in the album. Additional details are insignificant if the content produced has quality.
Don't speak for Architects, speak for yourself.
And please, support Epitaph Records and buy this album. The label deserves it. They produce great music and seem to put effort into their work.
Chris Halpin I think what this insane bastard is talking about is the cut of the "support the band" money that Itunes gets compared to the money straight to them at shows. I can only interpret a little of the language known as irrational.
Yes hard 🤘 rock heavy metal. Rock on. Muke hat dich empfohlen. Weiter so 🎸
sweet breakdown
Gracias, de corazón.
Oh my, this is good ^_^
Are the lyrics about the dolphin slaughter in Japan that was on the news ?
"You know they're here when the water is red"
"You can hear them cry, they're calling out // For the mother lost, she's bleeding out"
"A graveyard sits upon the shore // They won't swim together anymore"
Sam said that it is, and more particularly about how Sea Shepherd has responded to the situation and tried to stop it
Jack Beatson Definitely sounded like the captain from the Whale Wars as well.
GMC13777 yep it's Paul Watson :)
This song reminds me august burns red so much - riffs, vocals, lyrics ;) 10/10
buen temon filoso
Sea Shepherd, represent!
I like it
dat intro
I'm buying...
in the youtube settings speed this up to times 2 and then go to the shred section at like 1:03 its gameboy music!
There is some alexisonfire style riffs in this song, 1:59 onwards reminds me a lot of Polaroids of Polar Bears & Adelleda
this is soooo sick! i fucking love it :o
hunting of whales and dolphins surely inspired this letter.
love you too fam
They're all vegans I love bands like this
LuisA S. poopy head ass
@@masstaden3507 literally no reason to say that
XG Official i don’t remember what they said cause he deleted the comment, but it was probably justified as the original comment is about veganism & they probably said some dumb shit about it.
HEY! HEY!
I guess if you're into the dark side, this is for you. All the best.
Go away Esurance commercials, you're ruining the flow of a perfect album

Dear god. Fuck you chilli's! ... Thank you for your food.
how the hell did they went from this to Holy Hell.. This was so awesome
Am I the only one thinking this way? Everybody seem to love their new album :s
I personally think that holy hell is a great album, but their earlier ones are even better, especially Lost Forever // Lost Together
I really dislike Holy Hell. There are some songs on that record that are okay, but they don't come close to LF//LT or AOGHAU
Because Tom was the main songwriter...
It's their first album since losing Tom. They were still figuring out how to move on.
Mmh no, this is great but Holy Hell is a masterpiece and my fave metalcore album together with There is a Hell by bmth
press 3 for an amazing riff!.
Tried not to headbang while listening to Architects = *Failed immediately
In my mind, this song has a terrible time paired with it. A time of suffering, fear, sadness, joy, love, heartbreak. But more than those, a feeling of longing. Longing to suffer the way I did then.
Actually i prefer hollow crown and daybreak but still.the best band ever known. Keep it high architecs!!?
This song talks about whales but you can feel it about pigs and animals in general :)
THE DEVIL IS NEAR
When the song says "they live this night and day// they have the heart to resist"... THEY are the people that fight against cancer...or am I wrong?
Braian Oros you're wrong, it's about Sea Shepherd
GuitarBloodlines thank you for the info!
this is a real band lmL
Who isn't a real band?!
How many mary janes have you injected?
Brendon stacey Guess you're no longer a huge fan of "Node" anymore, huh?
havoren never claimed to be a big fan of the album and I didn't think changing it would be seen as a sign of me not liking it anymore
Brendon stacey Alright then, I just always thought of you as "The Northlane Guy" since your profile pictures has always been Northlane's album covers.
Aha this isn't a veggie anthem, it's about whale hunting, fucking great lyrics and a fucking great album, I rarely use the word awesome but....
Architects are vegan, a huge supporter of Sea Shepard, an anti-whaling, sharking, and dolphining activist group, and often bring up their hatred of any and all animal rights violations. I think it's save to say this is a "veggie anthem."
it's not about battery farming, or the treatment of animals in labs, that'd be more veggie, this is just in relation to one particularly grotesque hunting culture, I'm omnivorous but if I sang a song about tiger hunting it wouldn't be a veggie anthem....
Miles Hunt It doesn't have to be about battery farming or animal testing to be a "veggie anthem." Vegans detest any form of animal abuse, not just land animals...
I honestly liked this song a lot more before you said all that ha ha whale hunting vegan bull shit is not as interesting to me ha ha but thanks for the insight .
***** So then the question is, "are you really against animal abuse?" And, if so, to what extent? You most certainly can be against animal abuse without being vegan, if you take a stand against it, but you may come off hypocritical consuming animal products.
maxwelld23 How does knowing the meaning behind the song devalue this song in any way? Not attacking you, just a genuine question.
Holy crep
Go watch the Sea Shepherd website everyone. It is about the disgusting slaughter in Taiji.
The new soundtrack for Greenpeace?
Can someone explain to me the lyrics? I can't understand them.
This song is about sea hunt and whale hunt in particular according to me. I base this assumption on the sentence "you can hear them cry" as it is commonly admited that the sound whales can make sounds like a cry.
Mac Mourning cool bro thanks
When I saw them live Sam specifically dedicated this song to sea shepherds an organisation that fights wale and dolphin hunting, he then proceeded to introduce this song as Follow the Water XD, he was slightly nervous.
***** yeah it was insane, probably my favourite gig I've been to so far, the crowd were nuts!
yeah the crowd exploded at "YOU FUCKING PIGS" so sick.
Только сейчас поняла, что этот альбом полный разъеб🖤
Hearing some major parkway influence
Not hearing that lol
This was a year ago but i assume i was comparing the yelling chorus to parkway.
all time, is near. Your dirty mind :D
Vocal Cover! czcams.com/video/1q3BFq04yc0/video.html
its funny to me how many people call this atheist music. sounds a lot to me like they are only singing about god and the devil, they just dont like how god does things.
Are you warped?
Andrew Marshall the album sounds more to me like humanity is destryoing itself... thats just me tho
+Andrew Marshall Sam Carter is an atheist, that`s what he said in lots of interviews
they're atheist, but this song talks about sea shepherd
+Plinio Junior every single line is a double-entendre. They are most certainly Gnostics or at least have Gnostic influence to have written lyrics with such ambiguity. You shouldn't read much into public interviews they have an image to maintain
Forza Horizon 3 me trajo aqui😈
Vegancore
1:05 As I Lay Dying????? Who else hears it??
94 hours...yeah it sounds kinda influenced by that :)
go vegan, baby
FUUUUUCK
