    My invoices for failed run caps usually read like this "No cooling, replace a failed run capacitor." So I got to wondering if ChatGPT could make me sound more eloquent. Here what she said about a failed capacitor.
    "On a scorching summer day, the air conditioner's condenser unit tirelessly worked to cool a bustling office building.
    Unbeknownst to the occupants, a crucial capacitor within the condenser was silently failing, struggling to maintain the unit's operation.
    Gradually, the condenser began to overheat, causing it to abruptly shut down in a puff of hot air.
    Confusion and discomfort spread quickly among the employees as the cool air vanished, replaced by the stifling heat of the afternoon.
    After an emergency call to the HVAC technician, the failed capacitor was identified and replaced, restoring the refreshing breeze of cool air and a lesson learned about the importance of timely maintenance."
    I'm gonna start using this on my invoice and raise my price by 25%.

      You can kick it up a notch by taking and dropping it into a shakespeare translator 😄 "On a blistering summer's day, the air conditioner's condenser unit toiled ceaselessly to cool a buzzing office building. Unbeknownst to the denizens, a vital capacitor within the condenser was silently failing, striving to uphold the unit's function. Gradually, the condenser did overheat, causing it to swiftly cease in a puff of hot air. Confusion and discomfort swiftly spread among the laborers as the refreshing air vanished, supplanted by the oppressive heat of the afternoon. After an urgent summons to the HVAC artisan, the faulty capacitor was discerned and replaced, reinstating the invigorating zephyr of cool air and a caution learned regarding the significance of prompt upkeep."

      @@jamesbaker429 Cost vary wildly from region to region in the USA. I'm in north Texas where I charge around $285.00 total for most capacitor replacements, and around $585.00 for most PSC motor replacements. R410A is usually around $85.00/lb and R22 is about $145.00/lb. A service call is $97.50 and up.

    I am Dyi person trying to find an answer to the following question from the HVAC family.
    When checking refrigerant levels: How does the ambient temperature affect the reading of the gauges to determine if refrigerant levels are ok?
    Lets say 100 degree day versus an 80 degrees F ambient temperature. What should pressure/sat temperature read on 410 A refrigerant...
    Thanks in advance for your feedback.

    • @HVACGUY
      @HVACGUY  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Pressure and temperature are directly related

    • @user-zi9ww5mt5s
      @user-zi9ww5mt5s Před 2 měsíci +1

      Help me a little bit here. I see you videos where you connect your fieldpiece gauges and temperature probes on your low/high copper pipes. You check for sub cooling on your phone and super heat to see if it is low on refrigerant. The result of this is independent of how hot the day is? Live in an area of 110 degrees ambient temperature.
      Thanks
