What a beautiful voice! I keep coming back to this video. She reminds me of Marin Mazzie a lot.
I always wondered where some of the super-stars come from...and now I know: Belmont University. Wow. Stupendous!
freakin awesome! her mix is incredibly blended and it sounds effortless and powerful when she belts:)
I get the desire to want Mother to sing this straight to Father's face (believe me I'd love to see it too!). But honestly, think of what just happened in the moment before...he says "I love you" and she tells him "Be safe"...she doesn't want him there. This song is that "arguing with the other person even though they are gone" moment...and really sets up Mother's independence...it only makes sense for it to be a solitary moment on stage.
Yes this girl has it. What a future ahead of her. WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW
Aw, Kara. She's amazing... makes me miss the good ol' days at Belmont.
what a powerful voice!
Blown away.
OMG Kara! How ironic I would stumble on you here! I want to play this role so bad. You really performed it beautifully! Your voice is so pure.
beautiful voice!
Amazing.
Amazing job!!!!
where is she now? perfect voice for broadway!
@brozzerb I've Alwasy thought that to, Just have mother stop father and have her belt out the entire number then have father leave, it would make it SO much better to show just how oblivious and how much of a jerk he is if he just walks out after that and it would make the whole number SO much more heartfelt
I'm sad to say I have to agree.
This song would be so much more powerful if it was staged with Mother singing it directly to Father. But this is an incredible performance... bravo!
amazing, but you'd think they could do a slightly better job with her dress.
