For a new Santa fe it is reliable with 15k regular service cost with bumper to bumper insurance. But after 10 years it will be scary to own. All regular replacements are expensive and will be risky to handle if any components fail since warranty is over. Especially the 4wd transfer case is a common failure point. Even the car computer won’t sense the failure. Both transmission and engine is really sensitive than a pampered rich new wife , the divorce will take away even your grandfathers house.
