  • Yes, that is me swinging a Garrett Ace 250. This was an impromptu hunt with PF who was kind enough (I think) to lend me his old metal detector while he used his Equinox 600. I have two words for this machine. Not impressed. PF used this machine for 5 years. How he remained in the hobby that long with this machine beats me. It was still a fun time and I did find more buttons than he did...lol.
    Enjoy!

Always like to see the videos where diggers are keeping it real, and believe, days can get a lot worse than this, occasionally better and every once in a while a fantastic day. GL guys and keep swinging.

Beneath Our Feet Thank you! The video does not show all the angst the machine gave me.
I have a site close to my house that should contain a 1850’s army camp site. 400 acres searched and only a few square nails found. The struggle is real.
      Thanks again!

And if you had the nel tornado coil on that garrett you would detect stuff alot deeper bud

Digging Canuck Very true DC! It’s always fun digging with PF. What the camera does not capture can be quite hilarious at times!

Haha! Once I figured out the tones it was okay on shallow stuff but nothing real deep. Plus I was truly great full to my buddy for not tossing it when he bought his new machine!! Thanks for watching and commenting. My two latest videos involve Paul also!!

I know by the sounds of it you don't like the garret but for the price of this machine it's the best in price range let's be honest and it may not be as good as you dues but how much is the price difference between the 2 lol? Great video regardless buddy keep it up

Sorry for the late reply. I’ve had a AT Gold in the past. For the price it’s a fine starter, but way too heavy in my book. I think I did just fine with the 250, but it’s not my cup of tea!
