Can you keep it in the warm position permanently without cooking. I'm interested in using it as a yoghurt maker as I've seen on CZcams.

@@zzimbo The machine will stay in the warm position indefinitely, however I did a test with water and the temperature of the keep warm setting was higher than 115 degrees F (too warm for incubation stage of yogurt if I'm not mistaken). Also the manual suggested not cooking anything in the pot that would take longer than 1 hour to cook so I would be hesitant to leave it on overnight for this reason. I hope this helps and that you can find another way to incubate your yogurt!

Thanks. I think the max 1 hour would be the cooking setting and not neccessarily the warm setting. Maybe a cloth over the top, and not a lid will keep it cooler. At $19, it is worth a try. Also i want try and do steel cut oats and maybe bread in it. I'll let you know!@@BornPractical-oz1sx

Does the steamer tray still fit if you're cooking 3 cups of rice?

Great question! If cooking 3 cups of rice the steamer tray won't fit as the rice and water level is too high. I find the steamer tray works best when you cook just 1 cup of rice. I have used it when cooking 2 cups of rice a few times. However, as the rice expands in cooking it lifts the steamer tray a bit which also raises the lid. This isn't ideal but still works to cook both rice and veges. If I'm making more than 1 cup of rice I'll usually steam the veges first separately - you can put just water in the bottom pot (no rice) and turn the unit on. Takes about 5 mins to steam veges this way. Hope this helps!
