I absolutely loved WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH THAT. Now I'm organizing my life with this video. One of the things I do is send people a copy of my list to the people I feel could be a distraction and ask them to help me stay on task.
I use Todoist the same way and it's amazing. I use the homescreen widget to know at glance what I have on deck. It has a really handy quick-add feature that has C H A N G E D T H E G A M E for me. Whenever I think a thought that starts with "I need to" I immediately tap quick add and use voice to text to add the thing. Every night before I go to bed I make sure all my tasks have a date associated with them and are properly sorted into the right project. Task managers are a revelation!
