Well put, class AB is so much smoother and superior than any class D amp. I know this S5 amp, its incredible. The velvet sledgehammer. When stereophile tested it they got peaks of 1200W. Michi are known for conservative information.
Looks awesome. I want this as my endgame amp too, but I agree with you that it's too powerful. I wish Rotel would come up with another model with half the power of this one and lower cost, like a Michi S3 with 150W into 8Ω and 300W into 4Ω. My endgame speaker is the KEF R11 Meta that wants 300W into 4Ω. So it'll be perfect for that.

Hi Yettamon, we have had no issues at all with the fan, so we posed the question to Michi, and they responded: "Absolutely no issue. We've run both the S5 and M8 mono block with very challenging speakers at show environments and never once heard the fans kick on. They’re a very quiet variable speed model that will only turn on under extreme temperature conditions." No worries - thank you for your question.
Does p5 s2 + s5 enough for bw801d4 I am currently runing it on michi x5 and it has a bit flaw on sub bass. May be the integrated amp is so small fr this legendary speaker. But still cant decide whether s5 or m8. I dont have volume issue with x5. What your thoughts?

I've read anytime you can double the RMS from 8 ohm to 4 ohm on an amp, 600 to 1200 such as the M1200, the amp was built correctly
