  • Work to refloat the container ship that caused the deadly collapse of Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge has begun Monday. The Dali has remained at the collapse site since it lost power and crashed into one of the bridge’s supporting columns on March 26. It will be moved to a nearby marine terminal.

And if such tugboats had accompanied Dali’s ship to the seas, then it would have already been unloaded in Sri Lanka, and not back at the loading port.

If the Dali had the same escort on the way out in as when it came back in none of these events would have taken place. And why the piers had no protecting caissons is beyond me. In the computer software business for forty years we were told early on "If something can go wrong it will go wrong and at the worst possible time." We were warned.

Very interesting, but here's a question... Why is the tug at the rear going backwards? Wouldn't it be able to use more power AND see better if it was turned around?

It has tug boats now. Avoidable ! Pray for the family's who lost more than a damb boat.

I BELIEVE THAT THEY SAID THE WATER WAS AS LOW AS 30 FEET DEEP OR 50 FEET DEPENDENING ON WHETHER THE TIDE WAS OUT OR IN. COULD BE WRONG. THERE IS STILL A JUGER AMOUNT OF THE BRIDGES ROAD WAY SITTING ON THE BOW DEPRESSING THE SHIP DOWN.

this boat looks like a giant Rubics Cube from thee sky , just saying . square after square after square . Spin around and line up the reds and blues . Hit a bridge , miss a bridge . I would rather flip a quarter , just saying . It's way cheaper

The sidewalk sale should be a scavenger's dream with all this late stuff. Ten percent of the companies involved with these containers are probably out of business by now in Joeslow's economy.
