Best of luck ! Weather looks great this week and next for all the competitors!
Good luck ! have a great fun race 🙂
Thats one sweet ride, great channel. Just subbed.
Good job man! But who else at first was confused when they thought this was AC/DC’s Angus Young and then saw it wasn’t? Not that Angus can’t I mean as much running as he does? I bet he could probably run that if he wanted too.
Never seen your bike so clean 😂 good luck matr 💪 beers at The Anvil when you get back with the W 👍
Can't bloody wait to dotwatch this. Good luck! Where are you gonna carry food? Have you got some kind of running/hydration vest as well?
I have space in the framebag and in my pockets as well
First of all: Good luck and have fun!
Second, about the inner barends: you mention you didn't get the SQLab version in time. I _think_ I can make out what looks like SpirGrips (they're also sold by HideMyBell and maybe some other brands). If that's correct, the clamping part has a pivot on the rear. From experience (I've ran the SpirGrips for a good year and used them _a lot_) this pivot part ends up being the part where they fail. Unless the clamp has a perfect and even interference fit with your bars, all the force you put on the grips gets transferred to that rear pivot part, which eventually fails. They work perfectly fine as an anchor point for your thumbs while still keeping the weight on your actual handlebars (which also happens to be the most comfy position with the SQLab version), but I don't recommend putting all the weight on just the SpirGrip (while in an aero position). I was lucky mine eventually broke while I was doing maintenance. 😛
Thanks for the heads up with the grips I’ll bear that in mind.
Best of luck Angus, some tough competition this year. If Simone could do the race with what little kit he had last year im sure youll be fine with no sleeping bag in the warmer dryer temps forecadt this year. Whats your fuel strategy, your not carrying much at all!
I will pack my pockets with Rawvelo to get me as far as fort Augustus and then go from there
Hi Angus
Congrats on the result. Do you have a link to the inner tubes you're using?

Have you ever used a suspension fork on a 1000 mile + adventure ? Manufacturer recommends maintenance every like 250 miles and I’m not sure if I’d end up breaking one on a long adventure
yeah they definitely seize up a little bit but they do still work well, I think that they recommended service intervals are a bit short to be fair
Good luck Angus! Also, I felt I should mention that the audio on this video is very very quiet.
Yep quiet audio I'm nearly at max but at least no background music that always sucks
Goodluck
Angus - what saddle were you using? Thanks
Fabric scoop
Hey Angus! How tall are you? Which frame size do you ride? Thx!
