It’s from growing up around black men in the country. Black country people use to say some of the funniest things. Back when I was young, you could follow one of your teenage male cousins to the juke joint, funny stuff and everybody knew who you were and who your people were 😂 They interacted with you in a funny way. And then you seen them in church on Sunday. All love.

You learn how to shoot dice and do things against your family structure. You have to break it to raise your children correctly -> the Marine Corps (and senior NCOs) taught me better.
@@quintinr.6760 that makes sense. It’s easy to over-romanticize it all. And it’s easy to forget how hard Unc’s upbringing was as well. I think I didn’t have it as hard in some ways but I grew up without a lot of wisdom and warmth so I latch on to those stories. Thanks for replying 🙏

Chad and Unc. man I fought in the 2024 Masters Boxing classic in Vegas in Feb. I am 58 and former football player but I will tell you that boxing is the toughest sport I have ever been in. Nothing like the opponent standing across from you.

All boxers still think they can take a punch. But when you get that old you don't realize that you can't until AFTER you get hit.
It's not like his sparring partner is trying to see how many full power punches you can take to the head, in practice....
Skill wise, he is great.

Paul doesn't have the power to put Tyson's health at risk, especially with the shortened rounds. However, Paul does have the pockets to make Tyson let the fight go the distance instead of ending it early. This fight is a payday for Mike and a clout chase for Paul.

Don’t confuse scripted fights and paid falls with the real thing. If you look at Jake Paul’s fights, there isn’t any torque in his punches or KO’s. It’s just arm movement. There’s no power.

Marine here and maaaaannnn we used to throw hands aboard ship back in the mid 80's...called a "Smoker." All my Marine and Navy guys know what's up. A legit boxing ring set up on the hangar deck and you usually pick an opponent your size and experience level, and just go for broke for (3) three minute rounds. Was a ton of fun and a great way to let off steam and boost morale. Back when respect and 'treating people the way you want to be treated' was still KING. Cause if you acted funny with people, your azz might get called onto the canvas during a "Smoker."
