    Lyrics: Tunguska
    [Verse 1]
On the threshold of life as we know
In a chasm cascading to the core
    Where nothing seems real anymore
In between the obtuse and obscene
    [Chorus]
So let the rains come down and explore
The possibility that it all ended that day
And like all you dark clouds you skeptics
Denying your true nature, look away
    [Verse 2]
Past the concrete and the steel
Flowing down to the valley below
    Drawn out for 99 years
    Splitting the seas
    This terrestrial being
    [Chorus]
So let the rains come down and explore
The possibility that it all ended that day
And like all you dark clouds you skeptics
Denying your true nature, look away
So let the rains come down
Well let the dark clouds gather around
    [Guitar Solo]
    [Outro]
Dormant beneath us, what was will be
Dwelling within us, what is will be no more
    No more
And maybe it's not all what we built it up to be
    Sustaining scientific prophecy

Thanks guys for checking this out!!!
There are so many songs by this band that could be suggested. Darkest Hour has always been a guitar driven band. Through out their discog, they are riff masters, and most definitely solo masters. I chose this song because it's my favorite solo. That solo has so much power to it, the acoustic is like the calm before the storm. And you can hear the rising melody inside the solo as the keys go up the scale as it progresses. The song and lyrics themselves sing a song about letting something go. Letting yourself go. Letting the past go. And the solo emulates that.
But their drumming and bass is always top notch too. But I'm actually surprised to hear you say you like the vocals. For some reason a lot of people dislike them for the vocals. But me personally, I love the raw power in his voice and also the steadiness of it. Even now, with him being the vocalist since 2000 at least, his vocals are just as great if not more so.
And honestly, you're right. They have albums that are pure hardcore, they have classic metalcore albums, they have a newer metalcore album (with cleans *gasp*), melodeath, they have an album that is pure death metal sounding (instrument wise), and their newest album is basically melodic death/hardcore. Like a mix of everything they've done.
Sorry for rant. Just got excited to see my request. Thank you guys so much. And I'm glad you enjoyed(?)!!

Glad you recommended this man! Thanks A&P for checking them out, love this band! Favourite song is Tranquil by these guys, you should check that one out too! And Smithysmithin I actually digged his clean vocals, thought they sounded pretty good on their self titled but personally I miss Kris Norris, that guys a legend to me.

First time I discovered them was back in 2005. I was in a record store and saw a cover of their album for Undoing ruin. I bought the album for the art cover and the name of the band. I was hook ever since. They were like metal band with punk rock attitude.
