- this video explain How an Engine Works? Valves Trains (7)
The valve train consists of valves, rocker arms, pushrods, lifters, and camshaft(s). Valve train opening/closing and duration, as well as the geometry of the valve train, controls the amount of air and fuel entering the combustion chamber at any given point in time.
The valve train refers to the assembly of components designed to open and close the intake and exhaust valves. Most new engines have overhead cam assemblies like the one shown. Other designs locate the camshaft lower in the engine and use push rods to move valve assemblies. The camshaft is rotated by a timing belt, timing chain or direct gear.

Thank you this was exactly what I was looking for
Ur welcome 👍 🌹
Same but I wonder if you know this answer... On modern double over head cam engines they basically don't have any tappet or lash adjustment do they?

So, does this affect engine speed a little? Because there is an obstruction, a friction.
1:30 Although these adjustments are specified in the owner's manual, most people get away with not adjusting them. I have worked on some Honda engines that have gone over 200,000 miles and never had an adjustment. The Honda CRV that was sold in the USA between 1997 and 2001 does tend to go out of adjustment and at 200,00 miles and the valves burn.
3:25 Sometimes the disc is located under the valve lifter. Other times, valve lash is set by using ticker or thinner valve buckets. This is a very expensive and time-consuming job.

@@ShadyGhazy I'm glad I could help. I worked in auto repair for several years and still enjoy when I can help repair someone else's car.
@@skylinefever but you are a skyline lover. Me too.✌️
is no one gonna mention the high pitch sounds lmao
Double overhead cam has more torque that single under cam....?
Thanks for your share
@@ShadyGhazy he is asking.
Found it
Thanks for your interest and ur welcome 👍
@@ShadyGhazy I'm wondering since the engine needs valves to open/close, what powers them?
@@beaclaster the camshaft
@@PoliticalGangster thanks
@@beaclaster it was my same question to myself that came to me on this video. Now i got it.
