- Here's how I did my Salamanders Infernus Space Marine Flamer weapons! the effect is reallly quick to do and leaves a big impression!
Music by Karl Casey @WhiteBatAudio - Jak na to + styl
What a banger background song. Trovarion style.
What's the track ID?

@@iloveyoushima thanks
Hell yeah. I've got 20 of these pyromaniacs to paint, and I will definitely be using this
I’ve got 30 😂 Why do I hurt myself so much
@@redspyke8227 Mate, this recipe actually is really low effort with great result!
@@InsongWhang very true. I am no mini painter so maybe it won’t be so painful
@@redspyke8227 It won't be painful🙂
10 man batch takes like 15 minutes at most
Very cool, only thing I might add to a flamer like that is some flat black to the very end/tip to simulate soot!
That looks great. I heat treat steel pretty often and it looks spot on to my eye. Very nice!
I've been doing this on my drag race car model headers for years using the transparent Tamiya acrylics. Good stuff.
Definitely doing this to mine
This convinced me to buy Infernus Marines
I use a very similar technique but 3 shades - Seraphim Sepia, Druchii Violet then Drakenhof Nightshade
Not only the flamer, but I like the rugged look of the armor too.
Thanks! there's a full video on my channel!
That's an incredible effect!
You can also get this effect, I’ll be it a lesser version, with retributor gold/runelord brass followed by drucchii purple and drakenhoff blue. I’m relatively new to the hobby so sorry if I got the names wrong
I used this method ona seething bazelgeuse sculpture i did, and it was perfect, thanks for the tip man
That looks incredible, definitely adds something extra to the model!!
I have a bunch of infernus that I was trying to figure out how to paint their barrels/vents...I certainly know how I'm doing it now!
This is actually exactly what I was looking for
I did something similar but with a base of screaming bell. May have to try this one out on one of my marines!
Mate i love these shorts of bits in your long vids. This really makes me wanna paint these now 😂
music and effect are smooth af
Wahow, this is an excellent short.
Thank you for this. I've always wanted to create that effect on my Imperial guard. 🤟💯👊😎
Oh, nice. Will try this on some Battletech minis.
Superb! Thanks for sharing! 😊
Thanks for this I was just wanting this little recipe
Absolutely gorgeous
Fantastic quick tutorial! Shame it doesn't works quite rhe same on Sisters flamers since the nozzle on them is so different.
I love the blued metal effect. Very cool and realistic
duuude, that theme!!!
Genius
As a professional blacksmith, I approve this technique. It's bang on mate.
What is it?
@@dubuyajay9964 It's the colours that appear when you heat steel. It goes from a burnt grey to a lovely straw colour. With beautiful violets and blues in-between.
Ooooh that's incredible and so easy! Thanks for the tip.
That is a beautiful effect
Very Nice
I do cassandora yellow, carrosburg crimson, naggarro night? Idk some purple paint that’s a wash, & the drakenhof nightshade.
Nice tips!!
Fckn love the backing track
I used this on my latest mini. You rock.
Thats a really nice look.
so cool!!
Glorious
Really cool heat effect!
Sick!
Awesome
BROTHER, embrace the DRIP.
Hell yes!
I didn't think I'd love painting these intercessior guys, my flamers are still only base coated cuz I'm nervous to try this effect Hella dope tho.
Automatically Approved
Masterwork😮
EPIC!
Runnin HOT! I LOVE IT!
Great mini tuto, thx
serious that.
I thought this was pretty much the standard way to do it
whoa... yeah, that's a sub!
OMG YESSSSS!
Exactly how gw shows you to paint them
Tip of the flamer should be burnt clean. Maybe do a bit of clean metallic on the very edge
I like you using techniques foun on scale car kit exhausts (based on real ones) and using it on miniatures 👍🏻
Excuse me while I go put the finishing touches on the Flash Gitz that have this kind of gun barrel. Thanks!
Heh, it looks like a well used lighter :p
Damn!
I won a mini of the month contest using this method
Oh boy. Im aboit to paint a ton of Sisters
This will help a ton!
Vallejo💪💪💪
Aircraft and car modellers have been doing this for years. You should try getting some laquer paints MRPaint type and use your airbrush for this effect.
What brushes are you using these brushes look so good
I wonder how this would look on a power sword.
Would it still be the same process if the part of the weapon that you’re doing this to isn’t gun metal color (like silver)?!? What I mean is since most of the weapons I have painted that I’ve been trying to do this effect on is normal black or dark grey! But with these exact weapons I’ve been painting that end bronze (weapon bronze from army painter)! So would I do the same process to do this effect? Or do I need to repaint all of the gun metal? Either way, thanks and have a great day!!!
Выглядит здорово, но в оружии используют сталь устойчивую к термическим воздействиям, поэтому радужные побежалости на металле появляться не должны
Хотя повторюсь, выглядит потрясающе
no comprende
joink!
I had this idea so many times but never found a proper technique...thank you so much! 🙏🙏🙏
Did you think down the contrast paints too?
Use heat next time, as this is done on that exhausts 😂
OH HELL NAH DON'T TELL ME I WAS SUPPOSED TO LEFT THAT LITTLE THING IN THE TIP UNDER THE BARREL 💀
I REMOVED IT BECAUSE I DIDN'T REALIZE IT WAS A FLAMETHROWER, NOOOO
SHIEEEEET
@@trovarion 😭😭😭
May I asked what the base cost silver was?
Thumbnail made me think you modeled flame that was magically detached from the flamer. I was confused 😅
I accidentially chose a good thumbnail then for once xD
Question should you wait for the washes to dry inbetween or just put it all on at once
I let them dry
Commenting so I get more of your content
Spice things up? I thought that effect was a requirement?
Aren't the colors backwards?
The brighter color from where the round comes out?
Ywah, but i like it better this way. Rule of cool.
Is the contrast thinned?
a little, yes. helps with blending when the first layer doesn't cover all the way.
I tried this and my outcome was hot garbage.
I'm guessing that I did something wrong. I tried to wetblend the inks and washes I had.
For my next attempt should I let each colour dry before painting the next?
Yes
Thank you.
Omg warhammer has gone WOKE...jk i love rainbows
Yeah but compared to your reference picture, you're putting the colors on backwards?
It isn’t backwards. The hottest part is the darkest.
Is this slap chopped?
No. It's my grimdark approach. There's a couple of videos on my channel about it, including the salamander.
I prefer oil paint to achieve a better and easier blending
I'm going to make a color shift paint that does this. I'm going to call it 'Eldar Improver'.
Wowwww so clean 🤙🏼
