I always say, everything looks better on a riser! I have several. Marble, wood, white ceramic, etc. Because of your symmetry, you have to buy 2 of a lot of your decor. Thats great. I love your decor and great ideas. Your home is gorgeous.

Love the way you decorate. I especially love how you scrunch up the napkins and the plaid throw on the table. There is an art to scrunching or draping that I don’t seem capable of. I would appreciate any tips you have. I think I’m too much of a perfectionist. Anyway, it all looks beautiful.

@@AdventuresinDecorating our weather is still pretty warm but our mornings and evenings are cooling down nicely now…we typically go all the way until October here in the desert southwest (Arizona) and really until Halloween before there is no trace of warm weather left in the afternoons and we can get our sweaters and hoodies out for the Fall…it is always tricky to do Autumn Home Decor Styling and still have to close up the windows and blinds midday for the still Summer~like weather…! Like I always say tho, ;Every place has something, we have high temps and a dry heat and some wind but not much rain and no snow where I live! I did have a good weekend visiting our 4 adult kids and 2 granddaughters in Phoenix (a 4 hour drive from our home in Bullhead City, Az! I look forward to your posts, Becca! Happy Fall Season to you and your Family!

You said that you did not like the line in the back of the book shelves, have you thought about putting wallpaper back on the walls . There some beautifull w w wallpapers out there. Thibaut has a great selection that would fit your style. I love everything you do and cannot wait for your videos.

Absolutely stunning! It always tickles me when you decorate with decor like I have. Like the pitcher and bowls. I also got mine at Homegoods. Seems like I find more things I like there more than Hobby Lobby. I have been on the hunt for plates like yours with pheasants and I found them this week at a Homegoods out of town! They have a different border and that’s fine with me bc I have turkey plates with the same border as yours. I have a weakness when it comes to dishes! Wish you came on more often. I’ve heard you mention several times that you like symmetry and are “OCD.”
If you truly do manage diagnosed OCD, then my apologies. If not… I’d encourage you not to use that term as a throwaway comment.
As a medical professional, I have seen and treated many patients who fight to keep this disorder under control. It is a challenging way to live, yet so many are fighting hard and succeeding. It’s not a thing to joke about by those of us who have no idea what it’s really like.
I’d urge you to discontinue the casual use of “OCD” and just stick with “I like things symmetrical/orderly/detailed.
Thank you so much for kindly sharing your valued opinion. While I do try to "embrace" my OCD that dates back to when I was a child, I'll do better about not including it when I mention my love for symmetry. ❤️
