My favorite gag: Cooler punching Vegeta over the horizon over and over and over again and he and Goku are just having a casual conversation about whether Vegeta’s really a nice guy once you get to know him.

Yep, so in Japan, they had Dragon Ball movies playing during school breaks. They had two breaks, so two movies throughout the year. This one premiered during the second break after the first Cooler movie, meaning they saw them basically back-to-back just a couple months apart.
And not for nothing, but with this movie, you can tell. The key animation is ROUGH in a lot of the scenes, especially the Goku vs. Cooler fight.
12:45 my favorite part of the movie, so random but the delivery is "Chef's kiss".
Getting the voice actor for Claptrap was pure hilarity. Nice call on their part for this movie.
Cooler's a fun movie-only antagonist. Kind of wish he was in the main show itself. But I guess they didn't want to throw too many of Freeza's family at the viewers.
The whole time I heard the voice I knew what game it was from, but I constantly forget the name of the game, lol!!! I put a lot of hours into Borderlands too which is bad that I keep forgetting.
The opening voice was Kaiser Neko, who voiced Trunks among others (who I can't think of off the top of my head)
Pretty much 70% of background characters they didn't find a VA for xD
Also kaiser is chief editor and voice director

I’m pretty sure that this movie is the best example of Goku and Vegeta actually working together as a pretty good team. Both in the official show and TFS version

The ending joke was that dende went to earth to visit them but they misread it and they went to namek to visit him
I did the same thing once as a kid, sort of. Was probably only about six or seven years old, and was talking with a friend on the phone. I thought he asked if he wanted to come over to my house to play, so I got a ride to his house with my dad to pick him up. Only to get there, and find out that he actually meant that he wanted me to go over there instead.
I only remember that because I was annoyed by the misunderstanding, and so just told my dad to drive off when my friend waved me over to the door. Which my dad did, but he also told me that's how you lose friends. Granted nothing bad ever came of that incident, those words stuck with me to this day, over 30 years later.
IT’S KRILLER TIME!!
The dumbest thing about this movie is that TFS didn't even come up with the idea of hitting the robots harder. That's the actual solution Piccolo came up with in the movie to defeat them. Although TFS did dumb it down a bit. In the original, it was explained as focusing all their energy at the precise point of impact to strengthen their blows.
Cooler is part of the set of the 13 original DBZ movies which are considered non canon. Excluding The History of Trunks and Bardock the Father of Goku that were released here in the USA.
There are other specials that weren’t released here. If you want me to give you the name of the movies let me know. Or use Wikipedia and it’ll tell ya more in depth about the information if you really want know how it worked, and who were the bad guys. 😊
The big question I had to this movie ever since I was a kid, if that thing can create hundreds of copies of cooler, why does it waste resources creating generic robots?
Creating them probably uses fewer resources.

For anyone interested, the canadian subs have the translation for the "beep". They also add things here and there during the whole serie, like the "If you're reading this..." thing that pays off in the final episode.👍

I don't think Mike is that invested in dbza but that's okay, we had good laughs and I'm not a huge fan of the last part of dbza tbh, if he leaves after the android saga I'm ok 🙉

the creators of DBZA stated in their commentary of this how much they hated this movie and how it doesnt make any fucking sense. (the original one)
I highly recommend watching the commentarys to the movies to get more context and gives you a lot of insight in how much work they actually put into these.

The whole story doesnt make any sense no matter how you put it. And yeah, i know that, thats why the non Abrigded movies all suck and are just crashgrabs. @@stevenfriedman2902
