There's nothing wrong with loving something just for one reason that is important to that exact person. It's just all about opinion, tv series, movies, music and all those things in art and entertainment industry especially.
The argument that "Stydia is cute but just as friends" is stupid af. Just friends is like Scott and Malia. Just friends dont have a crush on the other one since 3rd grade. Just friends dont kiss each other and then look at each other afterwards like their whole life made sense the moment they kissed. Just friends dont look jealous when the other one is with someone else. Also Jeff NEVER said that Stydia wont happen. This is his words about Lydias love life in season 5 "She wont end up with who people thinks... AT FIRST" meaning she wont end up with Stiles at first which we saw in 5A, but he adds "At first", so she will end up with him after Parrish. These two got more chemistry just standing next to each other and looking at each other, than when they are making out with others. Stydia was build from the first spark in season 1, so it cant and shouldnt even be compared to Stalia and Marrish. Stydia is on another level. Peace and love guys!

+kitten xox HOW is Stydia unhealthy? Please give me one example. It is definitely not one sided. Lydia is a very layered person, she hides her true self behind huge walls, but since season 3 we've seen a change (mostly thanks to Stiles). Stiles was the only one who saw who she really was. The two of them have a special connection, she had a big impact on bringing him back during season 3 (Void Stiles), she was the only one with Scott to go into his mind and save him, Deaton even saw their connection, remember "It needs to be someone who can bring you back"? During season 4 Lydia was jealous when Stiles was with Malia (Holland even told she was told to play her as jealous). Lydia cares so much about Stiles, at the end of season 3 when they were up against the nogitsune she would not let go of his side, they were constantly holding on to one another. I can't wait for her to completely open up and tell him she's in love with him :)
Remember that time in season 1 in the formal where Stiles went up to Lydia and asked her to dance with him, and she said no? And then, he asked again, and she said no. Then he said, "get off your little ass and come and dance with me", and she repeated herself, no. Then he grabbed her arm and pulled her up and dragged her to the dance floor. It is definitely one-sided. Stiles has been "in-love" with Lydia for ten years, yet Lydia has NOT ONCE showed ANY romantic interest in Stiles. Actually, Stiles wasn't the first one that "saw who she really was", that's just silly. And that doesn't mean he's the right guy for her. The two of them have a special connection specifically as friends. She helps him out, as a FRIEND. And why would Lydia Martin be jealous of anyone? Does that sound like Lydia Martin to you? It doesn't to me. And even though a character is supposed to "act" like they're jealous, doesn't mean it's the right way for a character to act. Lydia wouldn't waste her time with that. She has only seen him as a friend, as far as I'm concerned. You have no proof that she's in love with him, since she's never said it. :)

No it's just the way it is. Parrish is the one who saved her for now. But Stiles was the one who kept saving her in the past. Writers don't want Stydia but it's making me quite flustrated cause I'm watching some of their scenes from the past and while Stalia scenes are good and Lydia/Parrish scenes are really sexy just a few hours ago I saw S/L scene together and I just imagined them kissing and it was sooo good lol. It's childish I know but I just can't help myself when someone just tries to say Stiles and Lydia is nothing in comparisson to the other relationships. There are actually moments when I really think that they are better off as a nonromantic relationship but then they keep giving people those romances and I just think that it's not fair to keep teasing us (that they don't have any interaction in one/two episodes and then almost suddenly there's some really good moment between them it feels like they're giving that moment just to keep our attention) and I just know it's just stupid teasing and it's making me upset. I really need closure for Stiles and Lydia (sorry but Scott/Kira moment wasn't enough) and them to stop teasin us and give them just normal nonromantic scenes without trying to tease us that there could be something more. lol

This scene embodies what I love about Stydia. I can watch them collectively watch paint dry and be entralled. They never have to do much, it's the small subtle actions that show their emotions that I love. TPTB can choose to continue on w/ St@lia or go w/Marr!sh, but those ships will never grab the fly on the wall interest that I have in Stydia. Those ships can have all of the overt love interest moments they want and I will just stay in my Stydia lane.

"and if you die i'll go out of my freaking mind." he watched lydia fall from peter's grasp and offered his life. lydia watched stiles fall from the aftermath of the nogitsune "dying" but he was alive, she kinda freaked. stiles offered to help lydia search in the chemistry lab for clues. "and if you wanted to, i'd go back to that school right now and search all night just to prove it."

This show has really failed on the relationship front over the last few seasons. Scott-Allison was the best to me, although I like the newcomers Liam-Hayden and Mason-Corey. But they are supporting right now. In terms of main ships, NONE of them Scott-Kira or Stiles-Malia are appealing. Stiles and Lydia would be great!

okay I've read a few comments and I just want to lay back and laugh. Let me clarify on what Jeff Davis actually said.
He said there will be an epic moment between stiles and lydia in episode 5x15-5x16. it will satisfy some and piss off others. we have yet to know more. Also with marrish, parrish won't be with the person you'd think he'd likely to be with. Jeff said stalia will be tested in season 5 I'm guessing it's this.
Jeff never confirmed Stydia and he never said Stalia will eventually make up. so PLZZZ stop throwing fake rumours because we're all done with false hope.
