Exactly but once you start getting around 2000 groups you need to get most land as possible so you get more troops and more interest on your total troops number
disagree. when you spawn use 100% to get as much land as you can (so long as your not next to another player). once your border come close to another player then drop your output to 10-20%. He sends to many troops out to bots and doesn't store any for defending. Gets rekt by players.
Edit: So couple months down the line, this is a stupid tactic. I was wrong.

Tip: When invading islands make sure to set your slider really low, since otherwise you'll be wasting units that could be used on attacking players, and generally islands don't require allot of income to take
But if a stronger player attacks you, the islands can be a backup and you can then occupy more of them and you might be alive in the rest of the game.

1:55 I've won that way more than once. Spawned in the Caribbean, took every single island on the Atlantic and the Arctic, then they left and I took over the world before the other island guys, then beat the crap out of them.

You can actually send a secret message to other players that only they will se by clicking on them and clicking the handshake button that pops up under the attack button

For team mode, try to pick a spot next to an enemy while a teammate us on his other side. Then when you finish expanding, give all your troops to your highest player
A few tips: Interest is highest in the beginning, so when theres room to expand, try only investing 1/3-1/2 every time right before you get a tick (bar right of the number) you might be behind for a bit, but you can outgrow most opponents and still have enough in defense to survive. After that only invest so much that you have mre than your largest neighbor.
After that its just luck.

Drew when you ẽpand you should only use full power at first and then reduce to like 25% of your force to expand. This way you can both save up power for latef conflicts AND have a decent territory

Use less troops per attack. Otherwise your troop count won't grow anywhere near as fast as the others
Drew pls read this, at beginning of games, expand when the bar in the box where you see all your power, when the 2 bars are near the top of the box that's when u expand, and use about 50%to expand the first few times then use less
If you only send out 25% in the expansion faze then attack bots with 10% of your strength then save up until a player makes a mistake.

By the way Drew, In order to change your nations color, Be in the menu and go to the bottom left. And Click the button with the different colors, You can change the Hue of your nation that way. Another reason why you arent getting your colors might be depended on a certain mode called "Alliance vs. Alliance"

Use like 20% in the beginning and expand with some time between your clicks because interest is much higher in the beginning, that will make you stronger so you can expand even more when interest is low.

Hey, Drew, I'm doing the same thing as you, but I play as tribes, arcduchies, countries, then empires, I like to play as cities then repeat the process.

drew a way on how to survive is to make your troop attack (the bar on the bottom) to greenish colour to get a bigger chance of survival for you have more units to defend your self and thus have a better offensive
You can send a secret message by clicking on a person and then clicking the handshake it will allow you to send emotes without anyone knowing. Aside from the person you are talking to of course.
If you send people to islands make sure the bar is low because you don’t want to send thousands and thousands of troops or just pixels to small islands

The thing you need to understand to play this game well is that as far as ive noticed the troup count goes up exponentially and linear, both being separated, so, espeacially on the beggining, dont expand like crazy, i always chill at the start for like, 3 seconds, then expand

Immediately switch to 50% troops, expand every time the bars hit 50% (60% if there's no lag) after the first 6 times lower to 25%. Lower to 15% when you can't expand and you're after bots.

Tip:You can ask people to help you if you send them a handshake emoji and a arrow to tell them who to attack it works sometimes
It’s a good idea to expand with about 10 percent power at the start
Drew you can send secret messages when you click on another player, it shows a sword and a hand click on the land and send hand shaking to them pan allience
If you naval invade a small island next to someone else, you can use it as a launch point for a quicker naval invasion later on.

You can actually press the names on the leaderboard and it brings you to that countrys location so island nations not op anymore.
Drew one thing you can do if you ever can't find the last person is click on the player over on the leaderboard it will take you to where he is

Idk if someone is seeing this but, here is one cool tip(not so cool)
Lets say you are playing in mainland but suddenly some filthy noob comes and takes all your land, try to stay in an island i mean if you choose mainland try to be near islands so just in case it hallens. Also this wont let you win because islands or too small to no chance of winning if you are in battle royal but if in team you "can" survive and win if your team wins

Heres a tip I've learned;
Dont use more than 50% ever.
Attack with the amount of people needed as there is a tax on the number of people you use; you'd lose more troops if you use 100,000 than 10,000.
At the start of the game DO NOT go attacking humans, only if your at the limit of ppl you can hold should you attack or if there is a weak neighbour
Try be patient and lose the least amount of troops as possible whilst getting land, so dont attack a person with a small space yet loads of troops.
Swoop in for the kill when the time is right once again be patient
Commonly unknown the amount of troops you get every 5 seconds is the same with most sizes except there's a limit on how much you can hold, 1 pixel 1000 troops
Attack after the slider at the top finishes and you get the most troops.
MOST IMPORTANTLY (other than being patient):
STOP USING 80% OF YOUR TROOPS AT THE START!
Your income will get much bigger if you just attack with much less, because of interest and tax on attacking.
Hope this helps you get a win!
Also at the tstart of the game keep lowering your slider on the bottom after every once in a while so you dont attack with so much :)

Just btw Drew, you actually can send secret messages to other people. If you click the button underneath the attack button, you can send them an emoji. If someone sends you something, you can see it in your bottom right corner with your other messages. Doubt you'll see this but at least I've tried.

I think your problem is that you attack/want a whole lot of land a lot. Like especially at the beginning. I see the other people just waiting it out.
Tip: only use 25% at early game to have more troops than others
w8 the first bots to atk someone then atk them with 1k troops max, thats why some people have 300k troops after the bots elimination phase and some people strugle with way less.
If your ever playing and attacking people, move the bar down the bottom to roughly 10% so your not sending most of your land mass at one country making you more vulnerable.
When someone attacks you in the beginning and your both about the same size. Ignore them, save up and ignore and wait to strike or keep expanding into the bots because the defense percentage will make them waste like a third of their attacking troops so if they're a noob and keep attacking you can then later swallow them up when they get too low on troops or over do it and someone else attacks.
Tip for drew : when u send a ship to small islands make your bar at like 5 percent

I role played Spain and Turkey and got 2nd. In the Spain one I took spain and then Portugal and then Andorra and northern Africa (reverse reconquiesta) and took the Balearic Islands it was a Europe map but I guy called Player and numbers got all of everything else. In the Turkey one I killed every one in turkey and a guy called France who was the crown for the whole game killed me I survived because of A few Greek Islands like Crete , Rhodes and other Islands. It was very fun.

Island can be use to invade far continents which are far from you main land and reach there faster and bugging the leader to leave lol
i always set the amount of troops i use to 50% unless there is a really bad war that i have to fight in order to win if the difference of power is not that much but i wain 99% of the time,if i keep winning like this i will be 100% soon but never attack more than 1 place at once unless you have atleast 25% more power than them both together. THATS HOW TO WIN.and yes GO FOR THE ISLANDS

Don't use 50% too often but it's fine sometimes. NEVER attack with more than 50% because then your army as quick. Actually, I can't explain this, I don' know how it works.

You misunderstand how this game works, the "power" isn't related to territory, it's actually money which grows as a percentage shown on the top corner. The total cap of this money increases as your territory does
