You are TOTALLY WRONG! Chinese Government and Construction Company(ies) don't need Gambia's money to "stay alive". At least a project was completed and Gambia will pay for it. Before you had Gambia had the funds to built the road and politicians gave it away to companies who never finished it. Especially Nigeria needs to learn from projects like this so your money is not embezzled by Governors and their families. Nigeria still fights with ethnic deseased mind in the South East and with religious separatism. Look into your north and watch what your brothers in Burkina Faso and Niger were able to do. They have at least a national pride and are more united then Nigerians.

Get some education about debt trap. This is a western way of sabotage because they have being in Africa for a lot time. what do we get from them. They give us loans that half of the money goes back to them and the rest shared by our politicians. Tax payers still pay the loans. When u take a loan from the Chinese financiers, their interest rate is far below the world bank and IMF. The period you pay the loan are longer plus grace period. Or do you prefer your people to go without infrastructure? The Bristish our colonizers tell me any major project that they help Gambia achieve. Yeah they offer us democracy and human rights but I believe when you are hungry you will virtually remember those. These infrastructure would virtually change the lives of those people living in the rural area by moving their excess goods to where they are in demand than going to waste. smh
