Ouch! That looks like it stings! Glad he's OK! I was worried the "gone wrong" part was that he might have issues with the dogs or something, but glad that everything turned out to be fine after!

Just like clint said water monitors can shred ya without even trying to do so but we all know Elvis was just being himself not malicious or personal
I kinda want to ask how I can get courage for reptiles because even though I think they are cool I'm kinda scared of them.
The best thing is exposure therapy! Get around them as much as you can

Start with a bearded dragon and when you get comfy get something bigger
@@shanemarnach3665 although those are amazing to handle and everything, if they're kinda scared that could be too big as well. I would suggest a leopard gecko baby because that's what I started with and I feel like it's perfect, just like someone that's a little uncomfortable at first the baby leopard gecko will be as well. So it will take time for both of you to bond and grow for you to be able to hold it, hopefully by then you'll be comfortable. They're also super easy to take care of!

I loves the Varanus salvator. I have seen so many wild ones running around when I was in Thailand. They were everywhere by water or in water, where I traveled.

Hi Brian I think that Elvis had a great time. All those new colors, and smells. Elvis is my favorite lizard. He is so chill, and friendly. Mike will be ok, just give him some ice cream. That new harness looked good on Elvis. He is such a great reptile ambassador for the Reptarium. Every one was curious, but not afraid of him. He had a good time at the park. Loved seeing him spread out soaking up all of that warm sun rays. 🐊🦎🐍🐢❤️Cindy

Hey Brian. I've watched your videos for years and this is my first time EVER making a comment on CZcams period. First I just want to thank you for all the content you and the whole crew provides. Seriously, THANK YOU. I also want to thank you for how active you are with fighting for our rights and promoting USARK (truthfully I don't support currently but will when my financial situation improves). This brings me to a question however, and please don't take this wrong. Why support Petsmart/Petco when they actively support organizations like HSUS? It seems counter intuitive 😕 I mean ultimately they are helping get rid of reptiles right? I don't want to pretend I know what I'm talking about because literally EVERYTHING I know is from your videos (and other hobbyists/educators on CZcams). I just don't understand driving people to these stores by giving them this advertising. I say this humbly and again thank you for all the education, encouragement, and entertainment you've provided.
I try to support local pet shops more, but for vids like this they reach more people with the big named stores. Although I am not always a fan of Petsmrt and Pecto, please do not buy into the BS that they support HSUS. They do not support them and do not want to get rid of reptiles. T&hey make millions and millions of dollars on the reptile industry and getting rid of it would be very bad for their bottom line. There is always a lot of mistruths about things online. Petco and Petsmart have a advocacy group to fight against HSUS and the likes thereof. So while I don't fully support them they also do a lot to protect your rights to keep reptiles. Thanks

@@ryanverbeck7977 hey man shout-out for having a calm, rational discussion instead of jumping to conclusions and name calling etc. There's too much emotion driven stuff in the reptile hobby sometimes - as much as we love and want the best for the animals sometimes people react instead respond or discuss, so it's always good to see the latter.
@@hi_tech_reptiles Thank you! My goal was not to put anyone on the defensive and to find out the thought process. I respect Brian to the upmost and thought if he's going to Petsmart, there's a reason and I wanted to better understand that reason. And I agree, the hobby gets very accusatory, offensive, and mean alot of the time. TBH, I almost deleted my comment because it could be seen as negative and the conversation wouldn't have the intended effect 🙃 Thanks for the support in open dialog and not jumping on me for trying to better educate myself (and potentially others)

Yeouch, that probably hurt. The good news is that heavy bleeding from a face/head wound isn't a surefire guarantee that the wound is deep; alongside that, the bad news is that face/head wounds usually bleed a lot, even if it's shallow. But yeah, Elvis definitely didn't mean to cause harm. His foot kinda slipped. That's all it takes. Gotta be careful around strong beasties with sharp claws. At least the van was available for use.

@@BrianBarczyk he actually makes me think of my dog in a lot of ways I think he’s actually friendlier than my dog my dog wants to bark at everybody new that comes around that is until they get in the house and get seated good then he’s up on them and all up in their face trying to give them sugars and trying to get them to rub his chest and everything else but Elvis never meets a stranger he instantly takes right up with everybody he meets well like I didn’t said I just love him he’s such an amazing animal
