@musicfanmic U R so correct...There were PLENTY of Prince knockoffs back then too... I remember being in a record pool and introducing this song at a party I was dj'ing and everybody thought it was Prince. Later I used to mix this with D.M.S.R. off of 1999. Those were the days! lol
Thanks goodness for technology. Because we would have lost of historic music. This guy was the closest to sounding like Prince, back in the day. It's ok to jam old OLD school. As long as it jams, it a jam.
but his first album sounds like RICK JAMES i think he worked with him before solo album very bad he died in a car crash in 1984 his 2 Lp's are excellent
Not that Wikipedia is always right but it list Bobby Nunn as writing songs up to 88. So really not sure about the claims here that he died in '84. He probably is very much alive
