    I was so touched by your compassion and honoring the Chinese factory workers making the knockoffs. 😭❤ "The people making this probably put some blood, sweat , tears into making this thing, altho they were in an incredible hurry". Their lives are hard. Thankyou.
    May we always have compassion in our hearts for fellow humans.
    Your flute is now at the top of my wishlist. I am going to save up and get it.
    The low-E flute touches my soul. Ive been hunting for that sound my while life. I play an orchestra flute, Irish whistle, and tried a little in the dizi, but your low E flute is even closer to that craving of my soul....like a cello with breath, soul.

    I thought this video was very insightful answered all my questions that I would have asked now this does give me a lot to think about when I decide to purchase one , I think the sound a flute makes is very magical and spiritual,

    Having owned one of your flutes now for several years. I can attest to the love you put into creating each and everyone single one. I’ve bought (before I met yours) those phony knock offs for $80 bucks. The sound was no where near the clarity of yours. Nor was that fantastic wood smell I get each time I take yours out of my flute bag. Sure, I paid a little more for yours but it was 10 times more the value. So easy to learn and play than any instrument I’ve tried. All I have to say is. Thank you Charlie and God bless you and yours.

    These videos have taught me things I hadn't known before, even got me to build my first F#m flute, the others being A and G. I thought an F#m might not fit my hands until I saw your vidoe about this (your son helping out, showing smallish hands can play an F#m. Itbhas become my favorite key. Thanks for these vids, good educational info in them.

    Huge thumbs up from the UK Charlie….your vids are MUCH appreciated.
    I just spent 1 1/2 days building my first branch flute with hand tools from willow and it’s a big learning curve….thought I’d nailed it on my first attempt but once I started drilling finger holes to tune I realised something was wrong.
    It’ll play the bottom 3 fine (but a bit airy I think it’s called) and anything above that is doomed)
    If you want a giggle I’ll send it to you as long as you promise to tell me which bit or bits I cut wrong?
    Either way…loving your work and your outlook…….thank you!

    Excellent explanation of flute choices for the beginner, like me. I just ordered the googol flute for the beautiful sound and the reasonable price. I wish I could pay more but I can’t right now. But, I know this flute is made with love and not mass produced so I will have a much better emotional bond to it. Music is so soothing and I can’t wait to start.

    I am very interested in watching a video about the “cheap” flutes being manufactured and sold across the world vs carefully-made handcrafted flutes from Natives themselves or non-natives who have respect for the culture and instruments and are making them with love. Please do make!!! I feel like it’s a really important topic… especially in these times 🙏🏻☺️

    Very informative video👍
    Does for example a flute in the key of D in different types of wood sound a whole lot different? And what kind of wood would you not recommend making a flute of. Thanks a lot for sharing.

    • @BlueBearFlutes
      @BlueBearFlutes  Před 11 měsíci +2

      Only a minor difference. I recommend a medium soft wood. Since you are not able to use traditional materials where you live, I suggest either bamboo or a relatively soft wood.

      @@BlueBearFlutes Hi 👋 i got in contract with and old friend, from Peru, haven’t talk to him for 15 years maby of different reasons in life but now we are going to meet. He has made different flute over the years but never a native one and he said he has bambo to give me and others wood types va, What exacly traditional wood can you recommend me, maby he has it? One more thing, the mini Amp with echo and reverb you have in your store, last time I looked you didn’t have one left to sell and how is the situation on that today?
