- Su-35 thunderstorm in overcast. The new Su-35 version equipped with trust vectoring engines and no canards, however this one doesn't showed extreme maneuvers even in sunny day as it's new and runs test flights with g-limits. Anyway it was great flying in low visibility with lots of moisture. Some low overhead passes with afterburners almost blowing entrails!

Excellent video! Very refreshing to see the Russian jets doing more than back flips with smoke pods on the wings. This shows more high G flying, vapor clouds and higher speed passes than the usual SU demo. There is no need to compare US/Russian jets. Any true military aviation lover will enjoy watching the super sonic jets with burners raging. Loud burners, high G's, speed,beautiful! Fighting over what jet is best is like 11yr old girls fighting over what Barbie is cutest, Silly.

Please, people when you film the jets, please zoom out more so we can have a concept of speed or where the plane is in relation to the ground. Also, some of these jets do near hovering maneuvers but when the camera is zoomed right in, we can't tell whether it's hovering or climbing or moving in any direction.
And thank you so much for this and for leaving the sound of the planes with no music to ruin it. Also, I really envy you coz I've never seen any Sukhoi jets live.

as of this moment, no jet in the world can match the avionics and stealth of the f22. it kills you before you know it's there whether you want to admit it or not, those two factors are the future, because no matter what a plane can do, it will be limited by it's pilot. the ability to locate, attack, and destroy without being located or attacked is much more important than maneuvers, witch the f22 does quite well i might add.

Nice looking plane. I do wonder if this plane can make all those fancy maneuvers loaded with 8 air to air missiles. People sometimes get caught up air show maneuvers. The F-35 can maneuver like an empty F-16 with 6 AMRAAMS loaded inside. It can fly at top speed with a full load of internal weapons. That's why I think it would have the advantage. I don't know if the Sukhoi can move like that with a full load of missiles because exterior missiles create drag and lessen your maneurability.

Great video & a great plane..but I would like to see it do those moves fully loaded with bombs and fuel.. as did the Typhoon at farnborough airshow in the UK !!
Remember that 1st prototype of Su-27 flight in 1977, peoples at Sukhoi design buro (with great help from engineers at CAGI) spend more than 10 years by fine tuning the aerodynamics of this aircraft. There's no other aerodynamically comparable aircraft. But as days come, now is more accent on "limited visibility" in whole frequency spectrum but with giving up some maneuverability. BTW: history repeating, in 60's americans hopes with 1st F4-Phantoms that missiles is enough, no cannon on-board...

Nice, another "it's stealth so it can't be shot down" comment.
I can't deny that it's one heck of an aircraft, but people are hooked on the stealth like it's the most important factor.
The same way that the "stealth" technology develops the ECM does also...so you basically gain and loose some. The plane is limited by the pilot only in high G turns, everything else depends on the plane itself (3D thrust vectoring), the planes structure, aerodynamics and engines.

Я был на МАКСЕ. Впечатляет! Думал оглохну) уж больно Су-27, Су-35 громкие)
А я был в Новочибирском спортивном аэродроме и видел авиашоу,где Су-34 пролетал над нашими головами,зрелище на 5+,а еще летали древние самолеты(DC-3,По-2) и спортивные Як-52 и Як-54 и L-39,а в конце четверка Су-35,шедевр!!!!
SUKHOI just have elegance to their designs, i love their fighters, they just have something western planes dont, Yeah F22 is an awesome plane but it lacks some thing like looking at a porsche 911and a lambo aventador, (maybe not the best 4 comparison)
