PERMANENT MOUNT OF FIXED NEMATODES

This video demonstrates how fixed nematodes can be mounted on a glass slide.

I use porcupine quills to pick nematodes. I remove the needle from a mounted needle stick, daub melted sealing wax over the top and slide a quill into the hole. They are lovely and fine for picking up small worms but soft so they don't cause any damage. Very effective for picking live worms too
