This reminds me of my older brother... who passed away on August 29, 2019. In the morning hours, I woke up at 5:30 in the morning, went to his room to wake him up, but what I found was him having a heart attack while asleep. I called my dad and we tried to revive him but it was too late... and that was the last time he'll be with us... We have so many memories, dreaming together... But then I realized that despite what happened, we all have our own destinies. Goodbye, my brother, I hope you'll always be happy.

This song reminds me of sad things that haven't happened yet but are logical conclusions of past mistakes and present realities but are necessary prerequisites for subsequent eventualities.
This song isn’t really a sad song tbh, this feels more like a song wrote because of memory. Our most valuable asset. We are wanting to get older and more mature. But when we stop to think for once we realize we took for granted the good times. It’s less of a sad thing but more a natural turning point to make every moment mean something because in the end, at any moment life could slip by and you won’t notice till it’s gone. I just moved 1150 miles or so away from my house, to a new place, and it’s been a ton of stress, and depression. It was very abrupt, it happened all so fast, and the line “I knew the path like the back of my hand” resonates in me so much, because I knew my neighborhood so well, and now idk when I’m going to see it again. I need a place to rely on.
I hope this song will cross the ages, and I hope that your children and grandchildren can hear it.
