Me: "it's complicated"
I like a mix...

somebody: what is diversity?
me: i like everything, literally.
When the workplace can't choose between the classic hits radio station and the classic rock radio station.
Now if you could just settle the "Less filling / Tastes great" debate, the world would finally be at peace. 😁
I actually experienced this, everyone was playing their own music at the same time and volume. I just tuned out what I didn't like. It was still loud with earmuff ear protection.
Shit, I wish music piped into the workplace speakers featured this much intrigue! I love these videos.
I know it's douchey, but I finally contributed to the content on CZcams (barely). See my first video here, it's only one minute long guys. I watch so much stuff people upload that it's time to give back some.

Admit it: Neither original versions do it for you anymore after this...
Bet!
Agreed. I wanna form a band doing these mashups now.
Same thing with the mashup of Lose Yourself to Dance and Californication.
Metal Health didn't di much for me before this.
BANG YOUR HEAD! - It's a celebration!
for someone who grew up in both of these eras this is just freaking brilliant.
A literal mashup of my childhood...
what do you mean "both eras"? the two original songs are 2 years apart.
Celebration hit #1 in Feb 1981, Metal Health was released in 1983
Still listening to the 70s 80s and seen both these groups in concert ❤️
Yep. GenX in the house. :)
@@hlarks: Amen to that.
I said it before I'll say it again, Soul Metal should exist NOW!
I would want to see Don Cornelius announce _that_ one *Soul Train*.
You know if there was a metal singer screaming Soul Train, it would be an express train straight to hell, right?
Check out King's X...
😂😂😂🤘
Judging from THIS song, I'd say, "Why not?" If anything, I think I'd like it A LOT more than rap-metal!
I always said I wanted to start a Kool & The Gang and Mötley Crüe cover band and call it Crüel & The Gang
Robert Moore
🥁 🤣
Gold
I love you for that
Motley Kool
Sort of the like the band Beatallica am I right?
It just blows my mind how SEAMLESSLY they fit together. Like they were written for each other. And you don't have to be familiar with Bang Your Head to appreciate it. Pure genius.
Time signatures...BPMs...a lot of it fits together.
I am an 80s kid, and I totally endorse this guy. He's brilliant! 😁
I'm a 60s kid and I think the man is pure genius!
I guess I never grew up?!
I',m a 90's kid. Just goes to show age doesn't matter in music.
Throw this on at a party when everyones half wasted dancing on the floor and just wait for it! 😎
Motown Mosh Pit!
2funni😁👍🍻🍺🤪🤪🤪🤪
cut a rug, realize something is weird about the song, shrug, keep cutting the rug
Hahahaha!!!! I know I can't wait to try it! This is fantastic!
If I only I still went to those kind of parties. Lol. I'm too old. I can't be out late. My granddaughters would be shocked
I love this mashup! It's like finding $20 in a pair of jeans that you haven't worn in months on a paid holiday while being first in line to buy a Popeyes chicken sandwich. Thank you
Or like seeing someone smash themselves the same way i did=smash up
Spicy chicken sandwich.
Man, with that last part of your comment, you've solidified its space in time. Man that was a crazy time!
Popeye's has chicken sandwiches again!?
LOL that's a pretty specific dream you have there ;)
Holy shit, This is perfection!!! Lmfao BANG YOUR HEAD, It’s a celebration!!!” 😂😂😂
That guitar solo was from Alright Now by Free.
That’s a triple decker mashup!
It’s the trifecta!!!!
Yes it was. Good ear.
Paul Kossoff, for the those in the back.
Good? Great ear.
It left me wanting to hear that bassline that follows it.
Dude, good ear .obviously you were a DJ at one time
The combination of these two songs is too perfect to be a coincidence.
It really is. I'm old. I know both of these songs very well. They go together perfectly.
Everyone around the world
C'mon
Have you heard the original of Was/Not Was - Shake Your Head ?
Madonna's voice wasn't working so she was replaced with Ozzy Osbourne's.
Bang your head it's a celebration!!
☝️
Nothing truer than these words. 😂
ahmadfauzanothman I agree!
It's alright Now!
+ahmadfauzanothman: It IS true. The headbangers in the Quiet Riot video are partying as much as the dancers in the Kool and the Gang video, just in a different way.
McClintock mash-ups comments sections are consistently the best on social media. Period.
Normally these make me crack up laughing, while admiring the expertise,
but this one is so slick you'd think it's a regular song.
Amazing.
I'll never be able to listen to either of these songs by themselves again.
Unruly Simian it doesn’t seem possible that there’s different music for bang yer head. If I look up the original, I’m only going to think it’s a remix.
Nope, me neither. This is way better.
@@trulyredheaded4327 me too. And still to this day i cant hear back in black without the bee gees in the back of my mind!
YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. That will happen with -everything- McClintock does. Once you listen, it's over for both originals😀😁😂
Once you've you've gone McClintock's, you've opened Pandora's box.
One of my favorite things in the world is to blast these when I'm stopped in traffic, and get the reactions of people scratching their heads.
Hah, Traffic! 😉
I’m so doing this!
We have some common hobbies
I'm working on a mashup Playlist for while I'm in traffic jams down here in Myrtle Beach...I'm gonna confuse a few folks
R.I.P Frankie Banali. He absolutely loved this mash-up when he heard it.
how do you know? is there a link you can share
Hell yeah! This will be played at my wedding.
Asking for a friend - am I allowed to disco dance in the pit?
Only if we're allowed to mosh on the dance floor? So many important questions to ask because of Bill
Disco dance in the pit is more accepted than moshing on the dance floor. Speaking from experience here.
don't slip your disco!
No pits for Hair Metal anyway lol
Absolutely.
The term Genius is thrown around too much. This is Genius.
As long as Bill is around no new music needs to be created. Seriously. He’s totally got this. What a genius!
A whole new genre of music, mash-up.
70’s Funk, 80’s Metal... Literally the combination dreams are made of!!! If this isn’t playing at the next party I attend, I’m leaving!
Celebration was released in the late Summer/early Fall 1980.
I would argue 70's funk (especially heavy guitar driven funk) and 70's HardRock/Metal is almost indistinguishable from one another.
Cripes...Dubrow's voice fits just perfectly in the mix. Stunning...blows my mind.
Another masterpiece.
You gotta' get K-Tel on the line and start bangin' out some vinyl compilations!
John Harris
Don’t forget the always smooth James “JT” Taylor
I wonder what it would be like if he had mashed the original version by Slade, the Scottish Glam band, rather than QR’s cover.
This should not work. It should NOT work. But...it does. Whoa.
Lmao😂😄🤣
I feel that way with all of these, especially the Spice Girls/Slipknot mix. I die!
music labels hate this trick. click here to find out how this man created a whole new genre of music
@@safegrammar the bangles and slayer 😂😂
When the radio plays Metal Health and I hear “Bang your head!” , I feel the need to yell, “Come on now!”
I am truly amazed at the sheel talent Bill displayes in his mashups. His work consistently makes it impossible to hear the original songs seperately. When he gets done with these mashups, theyre all you hear. Absolute genius.
Honestly metal, funk and soul together is like the perfect mix maaaan!!
Metal Funkin Soul🤘
Funk metal! Metal Soul. They both work lol
Metal soul will drive you dead@@missvida6251
I think the late Kevin DuBrow would love this!
I've just tagged Frankie Banali, the drummer for Quiet Riot on this video, on Facebook.
No.
@@ThePrimempua Nice one.
aw man, he's passed?!
Teacher: Ok, class, what kind of metal does not rust? Jimmy: (raises his hand) Teacher: Yes, Jimmy, do you know the answer? Jimmy: Yes, Mrs. Jones. Soul Metal. Soul Metal does not rust.
That's a hysterical but true answer!!! I fricken love this mash up. I wonder what each band would think?
Soul metal! Yes!
Genius Mix Of Funky Soul & Metal
Amen!
I'm a 52 year old metalhead and I love these mash ups..very clever stuff 👍
This is literally the greatest thing in existence I have no idea how many times I’ve listened to it and I refer to it as a real song and not a mashup
Me too. It's funny, you know. Hahahahaha
Bad ass ❤it 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I'm on the cool side of CZcams again
No one is gonna tell me who I can score with! Now I want this chick, she wants me, so fuck it, we're goin' back.
@Luke Skywalker
It's a quote from a Nick Cage film.
Search your feelings. You know it to be true.
Yeahoo!
I think you meant the Kool side.😉
I'm in agreement with you Nicholas Cage. I love these quality mashups!
That scream at the beginning is perfect.
This is, hands down, the greatest mashup of all time. I will never be able to hear these songs separately again.
This needs to be played at all New Years Eve parties from now on
Always one upping yourself, Bill. I'm having flashbacks to a parallel alternate 80's that never was!
not so far, remember Afrika Baambata sampling kraftwerk in 80's, Run DMC + Aerosmith in Walk this way,86...Bill is successor of an ingenious creativity that does not go out of style!
I lost my sister to cancer yesterday. This has genuinely made me feel better.
Thanks so much.
So sorry for your loss
God bless you
*hugs*
I love McClintock mashup music. Normal songs just don’t do it anymore for me, something is missing, not enough. What is better than a great song? Two great songs in one. Once you go McClintock you never go bock.
For those of us who remember both songs...this is freaking awesome!
I only remember Kool and the Gang. Quiet Riot was introduced to me through this. I can't say I'm a quiet riot fan, but I have to say Bill did marvelous work with these two songs.
Me and my other musician friends have had numerous conversations about your musical creations. (these aren't just mashups) It's not only tempo, it's timing and feel. The production is pro as well. What a gift. Thanks for sharing!
Here we go.......Kool Riot.
Kool Riot for Free
R Bass great name for this!

And with just one mashup, racism was over.

That’s the VANILLA kind, right? 😏
HOW?!! How do you keep raising your own god damn bar?!!
You continually demonstrate how metal + soul/rnb is somehow one of the most winning combinations we never knew existed.
The best thing about this is that I truly believe that Kool & The Gang and the guys from Quiet Riot would have gotten along really well. They would have been friends.
ないす
close enough: Kool & TG was the support band for Van Halen tour in 2012
@@backslash68 That's just because they were both old at that point, lol.
And now it's confirmed: Metal is the lost child of Soul. Fucking brilliant, Bill.
Brining Quiet Riot to a wider audience can only be a good thing. 🤯
LeilaLamb I didn’t know Bill’s secret ingredient for his mega-mashes was PICKLE JUICE!!!!!
These two songs are soul mates that will live happily ever after!
Im from the 80's and I approve this message.
Wow!! I love it!! I have been bitching for years how much I missed the 80's rock music and wished there was a club for us seniors to go and relive our youth! Music is like a fountain of youth to me! It makes me instantly feel younger and revived 😂👍👏👏👏👏👏
I see Bill’s notification: I click, I like, I comment, and I watch.

I miss the 5 star rating system. Would really come in handy right now. (Although, I'd argue this vid is 6 star worthy :P)
I've always said, "there are certain things in life that you cannot un-see."
Most of the time it's unfortunate.
However, after watching this classic, vid mash, all I can really say is,
"there are certain things in life that you cannot un-hear."
And this time... it's awesome!!
Holy crap! This is so much better than what I remember when I was a kid. Now this is my new favorite radio show, I can't imagine it getting any better than this.
Bill, you are a friggin genius.
Another Home Run
Has anybody seen Mr McClintock? A man with 3 ears and an extraordinary sense of rhythm should be easy to spot.
Thank you for this genius channel, Sir.
i'm fairly certain that a Grammy award is to pedestrian for Mr McClintock at this point.
Made me laugh, dude. 3 ears and rhythm..😅😅😅
Both songs on their own went after the same goal in their respective genres, to enjoy life. Expertly mash them together like this, and it proves that world peace can be achieved someday!
Sweet Jesus, this is the first I've seen of this birthday gift to all of us born August 21. Amazing!
Bill, your uploads are a reason to live. Thank you.
Another winner! .....time to go drive around and confuse everyone!!....
I could never imagine that "time to go drive around and confuse everyone" would be such a happy thing to hear. 😂😂😂

Bill, your understanding and natural feeling of music is something!!! Huge respect!!!
this is the most perfect piece of syncronicity ive ever seen
