@@cetadel6597Determination has the Asgore melody because it’s their memory of Asgore’s words to them as they were dying (I think the main theme you hear in Once Upon a Time, given how rarely it plays and when it plays, might be Chara’s theme - either that or the whole family’s theme)
I searched up Bereavement and here's what I found
"Bereavement is the period of sadness and loneliness that we experience from a loss. ... For example, it is possible for someone to experience bereavement as a result of losing a spouse in a divorce. It is also possible for children to experience bereavement when their best friend moves away to another state."
So this term applies to all 4 of the Dreemurs

This does an amazing job of preserving the emotional motion of the original, which is rare for ASGORE covers.
As others have pointed out, it’s actually Flashygoodness, who also did some incredible composition work on Rivals of Aether and, my favorite, Tower of Heaven. They’re a truly talented person, I’d love to see them find more success
I think RetroSpecter's cover manages to be unique while still capturing the feel of the original pretty well. Give it a look!

I usually find that Retro loses a lot of the emotion and feeling that is conveyed in the original compositions, though I cannot stress enough that that is my sole opinion.
FlashyGoodness did really good on this, and I feel like they captures the emotion of ASGORE better.

*Edit:* There's now a workshop stage called The Barrier which uses this music! It's pretty well made too.

Asgore: a heavy swordie. Down b activates a mode where specials become normals, but specials are blue and normals, orange. It does extra damage, and press taunt to deactivate the mode.
Not a remix. ASGORE is actually more like a remix of this. This is just the scrapped original of ASGORE.

My jaw hit the floor of my car as soon as this kicked on in my car (I have the CD set of the OST). I never heard such an epic remix in years! Was a perfect motivator on my way home.

Loving the take Flashygoddess did on this song, i would dare say i prefer this version over the original, Flashy has a very upbeat style on they songs, and i love it.

This could have been used for the scrapped “final attack” where asgore would raise his trident above his head, roar, then slam it down into the box, causing it to shake violently, followed by his eyes flashing, and 6 trident swipes.
Actually this wasn’t ever supposed to be in Undertale. Basically some guy got his remix into the soundtrack due to him paying a lot of money on the Kickstarter.

In the song, Asgore, it gives the feeling of sadness, loss, and an unwillingness to fight. During the fight Asgore holds his trident point down, and doesn’t even look you in the eye.
Bereavement still has the tones of sadness and loss, but seems to lack the unwillingness to fight. If this had been an actual fight i think Asgore would be looking you straight in the eyes, trident held high.
What a fitting title for a remix of Bergentrückung! Perfectly captures Asgore's mourning and loss and regret!

ASGORE has always been one of my favorite pieces in the treasure trove that is the Undertale OST. Yet, I've never heard this remix before. I'm glad I did now. It does everything perfectly. I think it's my new favorite version of the song.

if instead of sans as the last boss of genocide we got an asgore that absorbed the current 6 human souls he had in order to fight you I have a feeling this theme would be perfect

His ability: at the end of battle attempt to flip opposing cards in a heart shape around his tile.

This feels like a remix and I love it
When I first heard this in a video I thought this sounds like a rivals track and of course the composer is flashygoodness real glad it was him because had no leads otherwise.
As great as this song is, I don’t think it truly carries the weight of Asgore. For it to really fit him, I feel like it would need more power. This would definitely fit Asgore is he had seemed more weakened by the guilt and regret he had during his fight, maybe even less weak or a first phase, but by itself I don’t think it can truly show the strength Asgore has. Besides that, it’s still a great and emotional song. It gives the looming feeling of sorrow. I still really like it.
The latter portion of this reminds me of Burial from the 9 soundtrack... absolutely chilling.

I honestly think toby wanted all three dreemurrs to have "different" music from the original chiptune.
The asriel theme "Hopes and Dreams" being the primary theme people talk about for this game, and megalovania. But in all honesty it makes sense that he'd want the family to have instrumental music rather than chiptune, to both show the boss monster side, and thier importance to the story.
But im glad with what we've got, plus he did soo much on the genocide route that i can't even complain.

Chara doesn't count for megalo strike back is a theme from a earthbound halloween mod toby made prior to undertale, it doesn't belong to chara, also chara is dead, so there are only three dreemurrs
@@Dobby_The_Goat Chara still counts as a Dreemurr, dead or not, I also never said Chara's theme was Megalo, I know it's not. But Chara on genocide lost their entire Family and couldn't do anything about it until it was too late and until we already filled them up with LV. but either way, I see Chara's Motifs as "Once upon a Time" and "Undertale (beta)"

I don't know if I've just listened to the original song so many times, but I feel like this song breathes a new life into the original with its more varied instruments and use of less less pixelated sounding instruments adding a whole new dimension to how the song feels.
Original Asgore theme is in my top-5 Undertale tracks for sure, but jeez if THIS played instead it would be my top 1 choice for sure. Amazing work. Better than original for me
