Just want to say a big Thankyou to Roony and the boys for everything you done that day,to giving drinks and food when you came across us at the hut and then going out the way and recovering the car for me with no more damage really appreciate it and definitely owe you boys a few bottles.
Jarrad & Carl
You are very welcome guys, just good to know you are both well and hopefully the Everest will see some tracks again soon.
Take care guys see you out there
You guys not only did these blokes a favour, you helped everyone in the 4WD community. United we stand, divided we fall
aye aye mate!! ron ny mate you and your crew are the best god bless you
So right you are, the division in the 4wd community has gone too far!
Really, really good constructive critique of their situation and the recovery with instructions was awesome. Loving this trip with you, Travis, Sean, and the crew. You were in your element Ronny.
Running into you and the team would have been like winning lotto for these guys. Well done lads…..that’s true Aussie right there 👍
yea i'd say a lot of other c_nts including towies would of just skull dragged it
Those guys would’ve been so stoked to see you ☺️
Nothing worse than being stuck in the middle of nowhere
Let's talk about the elephant in the room.
.... a Ford Everest..... on what looks like road tyres!!!
Cmon.... call it out Ronny!!
This highlights the need for a plb, sat phone or similar when heading to more remote places. Good job with the recovery.
The iPhone 14 now has satellite capabilities in a emergency.
@@darkhorse4148 It's no replacement for a proper sat phone or PLB/EPIRB. It MIGHT get enough of a signal out to make a call or send a message, but it shouldn't be relied on in an emergency situation.
They thought they were fkd. Then along comes someone. Not only is it someone, it’s Ronny Dahl.
Luckiest blokes in Western Australia.
many cartons of beer for that one boys, well done 👌👌👌👍👍👍
its good that it had turned out this way for this occasion, but for everyone looking to go remote Aus her are 5 things to know/have:
1. Water & Food 2. EPIRB 3. Have a buddy 4. Tell someone where you are going and when to expect you, to check in call 5. Never leave your vehicle. Your vehicle provides shelter and is easier to find from the air and on ground.
Great to see you secured the Everest from the rear as well.
Not a lot of people appreciate that dependant on the park brake setup, even if it's in park and with the park brake on, it can still roll when it's up on two side wheels.
Patrols and Land Rovers with their transfer case brakes are a classic example.
This is humanity at its best. You don't know the gentleman yet you helped them. This is what great men do.
Glad to see the lads were not hurt. This is a good example of having a Handheld GPS Satellite Communicator, especially when traveling in a solo vehicle. Thanks for sharing.
Its always a good idea to convoy....even if its only two trucks
Imagine stranding your vehicle and walking all night for help, then running in to Ronny Dahl. Talk about good luck lol
Good on Yous for helping them.
Just if everyone in every day life was behaving like you guys, the life of all of us would be a breeze
Great job Ronny and crew . You can tell a lot of work goes into making your videos 👍🍻
Who better for this job than you guys. Those guys must feel lucky!
That's how it always used to be. We'd go camping summer or snow in groups of four or more. Because the only way to get help, was to send a solo runner out fast, and then have two others ti start carrying a stretcher back.
Solo hiking? Twist an ankle and you might need four days to hobble back to an overnight trailhead.
PLBs are a miracle.
These two guys were lucky to find you and your mates. Well done to you all! ❤️
Brings back unpleasant memories. Happened to us, similar winching set up got us back up; $14k panel damage for us. No speed involved in our situation either; can happen so bloody quick despite good set ups and experience. That’s driving off road though, always something new to learn, sometimes the hard way……Great recovery guys 👏
So all that money spent on the vehicle and all that gear and no PLB?
Latest iPhones, and maybe Android by now, allow users to contact emergency services via the satellite system and text. They can also link to family or whatever.
Sat phones are also an obvious option.
I watched another video put out by a well known 4wd'er who had to rescue a young guy who took a RAV 4 into a similar area and drowned it.
These guys should be extremely thankful they didn't have any sort of medical event either.
Kudos for having the balls to document this event so others may not do the same things and an excellent effort recovering the vehicle as it would have been well beyond the abilities and gear needed for most people.
If I was in their situation, I don't know if I would have activated my PLB straight away. If you activate your PLB, they're only going to come for you, they won't do anything about the car, and you've still got to organise your vehicle recovery. If I thought I was in a situation where I could hike back to reception to call some mates, I'd probably try that before hitting the emergency button.
@@KarlEller Fair enough but it was a 40k walk for a couple of guys that weren't well equipped for it and didn't even have a backpack to chuck some food/water in by the looks of it.
Depending on what gear they had and the weather I would likely have set up camp and waited.
Best outcome would have been being able to contact someone via technology.
There's no way I could hike that far these days and if one of them had injured themselves, even via blisters or whatever, then the situation could change very quickly indeed.
I always go with another vehicle and there's no way I would have tackled those tracks after so much rain either.
brilliant, we need more people like you Ronny, willing to help and taking it above and beyond
Background music at the start @0.30 is on fire, EPIC 🔥🔥🔥🔥who ever did that should be legendary
We love the new tracks to .
Im having goosebumps watching this, I can only imagine what its like walking in a middle of nowhere looking for help. on their behalves, thank you Ronny & crew. Off-roading felt a little bit nicer knowing there's a group of people like you & your crew.
much love, from Brunei
Brunei = Islamist dictatorship
Gotta say brother as much as that's a shitty situation for the boys to be in, I can't think of a better bloke to stumble across to help out than yourself and the boys 😂
Isn’t it crazy how a light day of fun wheeling can turn extremely serious really fast? I’ve been there and some people came and rescued me. Now I pay it forward, Good Job Gentleman! Gotta do your duty as a trail/track user. 🤙🤘🏁
twisting the straps like a "come along" was a clever idea. Ill be adding that to the tool bag.
I would have buried my spare wheel as an anchor point .
WELL DONE GUYS! Didn't expect a video like this but this has been one of the best, thanks for sharing! Great, calm & collected recovery with smiles all around making the best of the situation! What a team effort! Learned a lot from this one! Good on yas!
Awesome as always. Thanks for sharing and taking us along
I learnt a lot from this clip. A couple of questions; Was there a reason the guys didn't come with you back to their vehicle? In this situation, would removing the spark plugs or injectors, blowing out the cylinders, checking the other fluids and replacing the oil been an option?
They were buggered and there wasn't enough seats in the Cruisers . they did make a call to family and someone was on there way to pick them up .
We got bogged out there in mid June. First time we used our maxtrax to get ourselves out in the dark.😅
Very unfortunate for what happened to the individuals. Thankfully they are ok and the vehicle was able to be recovered safely. Definitely a great reminder to simply be careful as anything can happen when you least expect it!!
Great work guys. You really have out done yourself this episode. Was a great watch.
Good work fella's. Best feeling is helping someone in need.
Good on ya Lads!!
A friend recently rolled a car (ours 😢) in a remote spot. We were able to figure out where they probably were and had people on the way to find them.
Luckily they had an iPhone 14 and used the emergency satellite communication it's got to alert emergency services. I had a call from the cops at 730 to let me know where she was, and they got her home around 2am.
As much as we would have found her, we would have been worrying right up until someone got her back to town.
I was awed by how our small town rallied to find her when I asked if anyone had seen her on FB. I had more help than i could use!
Amazing recovery, learned a LOT just watching this. Thank you so much for the amazing work. And yeah, before splurging on tires, a winch is an amazing life saver.
Thanks, who had a big heart helping.... ❤️ 🤙🤙
Well done everyone. It's so good to see people doing a good deed.👍
Great team effort guys. 4wd community at work helping others out. You pay it forward it will be paid back !
Amazing to help out. Enjoyed the narration and safety tips. Thank you.
Top blokes good on you for helping and taking such care
Fantastic result ... No rush, no compromise and the right gear to do it safely 👍
Well done to all you blokes… very fortunate for the two poor buggers and a great example of having the right gear and attitude gets the job done.
True Ozzy spirit.
Great video Ronny. I first saw it on Mad Matt 4WD channel and after watching his video, watched this one. Just goes to show how things can turn so bad, so unexpectedly, so quickly. Awesome recovery, so many good points covered in a very informative video. A great example of problem solving, step by step, in a unfortunate situation. Also a great example of helping out fellow 4WDers. I'll be recommending this video to my mates and work collegues. Well done mate.
Well done great show of your safety and experience in real life and also just great guys. 👍
Mate, you guys are top blokes! Thank you for people likes yourselves.
Sounds like a bug out bag/get home bag/FEAR bag would be a top idea, even when day tripping!! What do you reckon Ronnie?
This is true Aussie mateship!
Your video editing and content is absolutely on point. Brilliant work
Ah, there’s something wonderful about a “community” showing up for each other. Good on ya, lads!
Well done boys, enjoy the frosty!
Great work! Capable and experienced men working together can accomplish many things. Proper equipment is also a must. Those fellows must surely appreciate all you guys did. The next time I flip one over I'll just call you Ronnie but it's a little more than 40km to my neck of the woods
Wow that was a insane adventure and a amazing rescue.
You guys are awesome
Cheers
Johnny

Well Done all
What a great tale, you can't make up stuff better than this. Just shows that it's not always the destinaton, quite often it's the journey that makes the trip.
Sorry for saying this but disasters always make awesome content. Great job guys

I must admit I would be surprise to come across 2 individuals that have walked away from a rollover vehicle out in the bush. However very glad that they are well and now injuries. Excellent recovery - well planned and executed. Job done 👍🏼😎

Great recovery, I recall a similar one - before maxtrax were around & we dug holes for the wheels to drop into & grab as the vehicle was sliding.
good idea! cheers
Great job.

Next thing you know this'll be RORR (Ronny's Off Road Recovery). Look out Matt, here come the Aussies!
Nice work, minimal damage that you can see so hopefully they shut her off as soon as it went on its side
