The route was playing up I was stopping constantly to view it on my phone so that I dont take a wrong turning. Very frustrating just glad I bumped into another group otherwise I might have cut it short. I've got no choice but to get faster I've come on leaps and bounds in the last year maybe time for a cycling coach?
Beard on a Bike in our club we have 3 different groups,no need for a coach as when you reach the A group 19-21mph,most riders go up again with other riders from other clubs,& so it goes on,they then branch to TT’s,racing or endurance

Beard on a Bike I also have the Wahoo bolt which I love but as a backup plan I have a quad lock case for my phone and a mount in my tool bag a long with a small power bank so if needed I can quickly mount the phone to my bars and use Google Maps etc. It’s quick and gives peace of mind 👍

Hi Aky well on Monday i went to collect my Wahoo Elemnt Roam as it finally arrived yesterday i went out on it to try it out but i went to the Vive le Velo cycle shop were i bought it as i couldn't put it on the mount at front of my handle bar so they sorted it for me i had put it on the stem mount while i got there i must say i wish i had bought it when it came out last year loving it m8 best cycle computer ever m8
When my bolt gives up the ghost the roam will be the next gps for me👌

Another excellent video, think we've all been there, setting off with the fast guys eventually getting dropped and ending up on a solo ride wondering if you're going the right way 😂 pro tip = make it to the first cafe or checkpoint and wait for some none race snake guys to ride with 😉👍

Beard on a Bike 40/60 mile club rides 1 cafe stop but on longer rides at least 2, I’m a big cake fan 😉 Audax and their multiple control points are best, I fill my boots 😂
@@marksmith566 If I stop for 15 mins or more I can't get going again cafe legs are the worst. Rather eat and ride unless it's just a lazy day then happy to stop for a while.

Just a gopro, sometimes I film off my mobile. I tried big cameras but I'm too frightened of breaking them.
Sorry mate! Thought you'd locked on - when I looked back, you'd gone! Lots of riders around at that stage but I ended up doing a lot of the ride solo.

Yes I do like it and it will only be better with a wheel upgrade. This one is a keeper. See if you can get a test ride before you buy.
@@BeardonaBike Does it make sense to maybe get the ultegra grouppo and the better wheels? Yes, the bike shop will allow that. Been riding aluminum road bikes since 1990.
@@FarmerBrianTee Yeah maybe so, I didn't need ultegra for winter riding so opted for 105. Plus I liked the mantis green colour.
@@BeardonaBike I like the bit heavier wheels and durability of more spokes. Just looked and ultegra doesn't have a disc option. strange. Thank you for answering the questions, much appreciated. Ride on!
