Mark, FYI 8947X only fits the large Maxx / X-Maxx servos. It won't fit standard 25T servo horns. I found out the hard way when I fitted a Savox SW2290 to my Maxx. You need a smaller 25T servo horn - I used the one made by GPM

Have you tried a 38 tooth pinion with the 76 spur gear? In the stock transmission 38/76 is the tallest gearing you can run. If you get an RPM gearbox you can run up to a 41 tooth pinion with the 76 spur gear. I know this because I did 17.5t racing with my bandit and wanted to get the most speed I could out of the motor I was running.

What it was with the nuts is that traxxas is standard threads 17mm nut and protek is metric threads and 17mm nut...either waybuilding me a good rustler also...my frankincar....love the vid mark

Use to race 1/10 touring car after work outdoors at night in front of one of my LHS at the time we just had the dim parking lot lights and a couple halogen lights they had setup in the darker areas (still wasn’t a lot of light) best thing was adding headlights and taillights to the RC mainly helps with keeping it oriented in the right direction.
put the castle creations copperhead 10 in that rustler
114 combined teeth is the most you can run in that transmission. My stampede vxl uses 31/83 gearing and I have to move the motor as far away from the spur gear and possible to get the perfect gear mesh. Bright side of that is that if one of the motor mount screws were to back out it would strip the spur gear. Only a backed out grub screw from the pinion can do that.
when you start modding it, get GRP tires for the rear, better grip, drop steering rate down so she tracks straight, and you may need to add weight to front to keep it down

I put the traxxas rustler 4+4 light kit on the two wheel drive body it looks good and works a the one light that mounts in the front bump I just ground it down and put the screws threw the front and I cut the grill in the two wheel drive body and it’s looks syc

Probabaly not. If it did there would be lots of body rub. You can look into proline slash body’s. Those are super nice
I got my rustler up to 83 mph . With that system . Then I put ceramic bearing and got another 10 mph
Found that out when I put hub extensions on my 2.0...

That motor is probably not capable running 3s. You should go with Maxx motor and 4s. You can fit Traxxas mod 1 spur gear from revo
