- I made this video with the purpose of showing the progress that this great band has had over 10 years. One more proof that dreams come true if we set our minds to them. Greta Van Fleet is a band that was founded in 2012 by Jake Kiszka and they have managed to get their own sound
One day in 2017 while driving, i heard “the highway tune” on the radio. I thought it was a previously unreleased led zeppelin song. Looked up the band. And been a fan ever since
Same here. So nostalgic, and then I look them up and they are so young. Mad respect for their talent and for bringing some real rock back to music.
Lmao, I also heard them out of the blue on the radio, and thought "holy shit, a Led Zep song Ive never heard before?!?!"
I know it's played out and mentioned so much, but gawd damn you can highy tell they drew way much inspiration from Led Zep. He even stands like Plant while singing on stage. _When he was asked who his biggest influences were during an interview, he mentioned everyone BUT Robert Plant..._ c'mon, man.
So you thought it was a Zeppelin song, realized it was a copycat version of Zep, and became a fan. There's no accounting for taste I guess

I am 63, and the first time I heard them I thought I’d time traveled. But they still sounded new. Just saw them live. Amazing experience!
The change from 2016 to 2017 is incredible. Granted, the 2017 clip is a produced/rehearsed video, but still, it's like they became a whole new band.
Had these boys been around in the 70’s there would’ve been a few bands that wouldn’t have been so famous! They would have blown them away!

cool, and there's a lot of jealousy from some detractors of this band. They never 'stole' anything. They've been inspired by some of the greatest rock music ever, and so produce their own great rock music, which will in turn inspire new kids coming up.
It has a lot of do with their talent but also their good looks
It is a retro band, playing a long out of style music that boomers love.

Saw them In Rogers Wednesday at it was hands down one of the best live shows I've ever seen!!!
The vocie schooling he got between 2016 and 17 made all the difference to the band.

We don’t like bands ripping off other bands music. Be original. Dont copy a bands exact sound and u will gain actual fans. They copied Led Zeppelin way too much. Half their songs sound like unreleased zeppelin tracks like not sound like em they are identical. Be original

Zep, wolf mother, GVF. It's not emulation, it's evolution. All three great in their own way and obviously there's an influence, why not? Mesmerising, all of them.

I'm amazed at these guys. I'm let's say, from the 70's era and more or less everything I'm hearing from this band I'm liking. They've got power, they've got energy and well, they ROCK. Radio Caroline brought them to my attention so I've got those guys to thank. They are like a fresh Led Zeppelin in many aspects to my ears. I really hope the industry doesn't ruin them and they follow their own path.

I discovered them with Safari Song, then You Are the One and then discovered again with Meeting the Master. From that moment on I could not ignore them any longer and I compleately fell in love. I've seen them live in Mantova this year and that was a fantastic experience. You HAVE to see them live, Josh voice is just outstanding and the ability of the band (starting from Josh with the guitar) is enormous. Can't wait to see them again
I love this group. In a time of trash music this group is what we need and don’t deserve. I’m a hard core rock lover and they fit the bill. Move on if you don’t like them.
This is actually pretty awesome!! As soon as I heard them the first time, I never stopped! Had the priviledge to watching them live, opening Metallica in the WorldWired Tour. For those thinking on watching them live, do it. They're fantastic on stage.

I can appreciate they're talent. They put on a great live show and it's upbeat. Real rock and roll. GVF are just not for me. I was never into the "flower power/hippie" thing. However, the talent of that era was amazing. I can't and won't put them down. Any group of people that work hard at forming a band deserves respect.
Just because you appreciate something you don't personally enjoy doesn't mean your cool or smart. Just shut up.

The fact that, as of 2021, they were already at Heat Above levels, and they're still rising (see what I did there 😉) .... Broken Bells and recently Meeting the Master. I just have no words for how good this frikkin band is!!!! 🫶
As a nearly 65 year old White guy and longtime resident of the U.S. heartland, I CRINGED when I stumbled upon my first sight of Greta Van Fleet here on CZcams about 2 years ago I think. I’d never heard of them before then and they initially looked and sounded like a weird spectacle just trying to get attention. But there was something in their confidence and sound that wouldn’t allow me to hit the next button. I became intrigued. Not enthralled but intrigued. I started enjoying some of their songs. Still not enthralled but I’m thinking I might purchase and add some of their music to my large music collection. They’re kind of growing on me. These guys are really pretty darn good musicians!
Would love to hear some of the older songs redone on a new album

The only real rock band to come out of the last decade or so, that’s making waves that I’ve noticed. Fantastic band that brings a smile to a Zeplin fan of old.
