It’s hilarious how the real story behind wh2 is that the skaven trolled the other races into fighting by making a fake comet so they could attack and attempt to take over.

I love how the dark elves' vortex campaign story is similar to the high elves, like how 2 heroes venture together to help advance the rituals, and both the druchii and asur's heroes are a mage and a melee hero

Ah yes, that´s right. Since the standard-mages in-game of the HE are all females, I quick-thought that the girl was the mage as well. But still, the mage at the end also dies don´t he? He sacrifices himself in the ritual to save the vortex or something? "Fleeting Glory, but glory nonetheless", at least that was what I got from that.

The writing for CA is very underappreciated imo. Even in Attila and Rome II the narration was top notch but no one ever seems to bring up the quality.
I don't think the campaign in WH2 is well written. The Horned Rat has no reason to announce his plan to everyone, except to make the plot move on.

@@vin1785 the division of high elves and dark elves very similar to the elves who stayed in beleriand known as the grey elves or the avari elves while all the others travelled to valinor. some elves were also abducted by the dark lord melkor and twisted into orcs. i can explain more reasons if u want lad

If you read the epilogue a few turns after gaining the vortex, you find out that Galifreius died before she even met Talarian, this Fake Galifreius was an Agent of Morathi all along

She didn't slay the horned God it vanished and from it came a swarm of rats probably billions of em. So yeah even an elven mage can't handle all that but they still managed to eradicate the rats at the cost of an elven loremasters life

@@richardshiflett5181 Nah if it was lore accurate the high elves and the lizardmen could have spotten the difference, besides it is kinda stupid lizardmen and high elves were that willing to fight each other in the first place.
It's almost impossible to write a plot in warhammer everyone likes, thinking every faction is properly represented. One that forces all the races to fight each other. The story is good considering all those factors of difficulty.
@@loveluclins I agree that the story in 2 is decent for a videogame but even the sandbox did a way better job at representing the races.
Ursun is a big mess with the whole 7 years of permanent winter and no HE or lizardmen intervention.
Really the campaign for Warhammer 3 is hot garbage compared to Warhammer 2's Vortex campaign. I'm playing through the Kislev campaign and it makes me want to rip my hair out. I never EVER felt that with the Vortex campaign. The story is super lackluster and way too copy paste for each faction, for example Konstaltyn nor Boris don't even appear in the last cutscene while Katarina does.
Realms of Chaos was poorly made.

The epilogue reveals the Galifreus you see in-game is a Dark Elf agent and the 'real' Galifreus died prior to the events of the game.

I was 1 turn left on the final ritual when hexoatl decided to kill themselves fighting the tomb kings, giving me domination victory. Never got to play the last battle or see the end >.>

No, the End Times aren't canon. They are garbage writing by GW, who wanted to destroy the setting. Storm of Chaos is much more true to the lore.

Gone? These are all from TW:WH2, 1 had different stuff (and much more rare). They are only in the Vortex campaign, though.

i don't know, the skaven on top, the others races either devoured or enslaved... that sound pretty doomed to me. Not to mention the chaos god that has entered the reality.
@@efaristi9737basically the other races are still fighting and whatever elves left are still trying to repair the vortex. It isn’t a lost cause but it certainly is a very bloody one to fix

It's just a name. If you want to be more specific about what they took inspiration from LoTR then you would clearly see how Aenarion is an amalgamation between Fëanor and Fingolfin.

one of the easiest battles in all game, i had less than 50 elves lost :D
not of me the yellow half of the bar 5% and I'm on the easy level
After winning first scaven army game will give you 2 spells - first is direct aoe dmg anywhere on the map(deals about 1\2 of units hp), second is crazy aoe heal. Both of them has 25-30 seconds CD. I think its winniable only with lvl 40 tyrion and this 2 vortex spells :D. And man, next army comes only when prev. one is broken, so its not so hard

Look at tww1 and the great cinematics. There weren't a whole lot of them because they're expensive to make.
And to be fair, while being beautiful, they don't bring much to the table from a narrative standpoint.
Here you get actual story telling and great artworks which is more valuable.

Technically both of them died, one gave their life to find the shards, the other to use the crown to stabilize the vortex

Apart from the fact your sterotyle of political ideologies is wrong, in the story if Ulthuam falls then the vortex fails so caring about protecting his homeland is actually caring about the whole world.
