A tip for you Mur-Dawg. If you pat the steak w/ a paper towel before adding the spices you get a better sear. Otherwise the moisture on the exterior has to steam off before the real good searing kicks in.

@@12982evets I agree the steak looked great. Nailed the temperature for ribeye, looked about 135 internal, and a solid sear as well. Was just saying it's a good practice to pat it down w/ a paper towel to remove the moisture for an even better sear (especially for leaner cuts like NY strip that don't develop a ribeye crust as easily).
And if you hit it with salt an hour before you cook it you’ll be amazed but at least 45 min prior to cook

Slimy to deal with but in my opinion pike are one of the better eating fresh water fish. Takes a little to fillet and get the ybone out but not bad at all.

Murda I love ya brotha but you gotta start cooking your beef in olive oil and finish it off basting it in butter the last 2 mins that way your get the nice sear from the oil without burning your butter and the delicious flavor of the butter and whatever herbs/seasonings from the quick basting at the end! Nothing but love homie!

Walleye season doesn't have to end. You can always fish the western border lakes; Big Stone and Traverse, open year round!
I was always told to pepper at the rest since pepper burns when searing.
I use that seasoning on a ton of food. It does have sugar in it so it will burn easy hense why your steak was a little crisp.
I definitely thought after letting that steak sit, it would be basically well done. But that looked absolutely 🔥🤤
Good ribeye steak will have some black. It's good. Being a chef it's perfect

Murry you definitely can not go wrong with any of Kosmo’s seasonings!!! I use quite a few different seasonings of his for different dishes!! But his SPG seasoning is definitely a go to seasoning also!!! I have done a bunch of smoked meats while using his seasonings and I have not found one that is bad yet!!! You should definitely try some of his other seasonings also and see what you think??? I promise you that you won’t be disappointed for sure!!!!
