    I subbed longgg time ago :) . I have almost the same jig like you. Mine it's in a T shape , on the wide side I have drilled holes from 2 to 2 cm , on every hole I put a nut . After that I have done a 50 cm metal bar ,to fit the nuts, at one end I have done a tread and at the other end I welded a ring . The bar with the file enter in the ring and I can adjust the angles just by screw or unscrew the metal bar in the nut . It works beautifully. Nice work by the way.

    I take off the bulk off the bevels with belt sander. Then finish with file jig. To make sure my bevel angle is correct? l have a piece of aluminum bar stock the same thickens as my 01 steal l put a "Test'' bevel on with my file jig. The aluminum is much softer so it takes no time to work the bevel angle to make sure they're correct. Great tutorials brother! Keep them coming! And l did Sub😊

It scares the crap out of me. When you were using it to grind that bevels I was sitting in front you the screen, telling myself: What the fuck man, that is some dangerous shit. Quick question - I saw in your video that when drilling with a hand drill the pin holes wandered a little off center... I punched mine but they did the same and I assume it has to do with the rotation of the bit as it begins to cut but nonetheless it happened ever so slightly to me too. I too was using a pretty small 1/8" bit to start but it still wandered so I have some tiny starter holes but as I go up in bit size to get to my desired pin hole diameter how did you pull them to center since the pilot hole was what each graduated bit will still follow? Do I have to file out the small hole to bring the larger bit over before continuing or come in on an angle? I don't want to flub it up or make a bigger mess so was looking to see what you may have done. Thanks! I have my dagger profile cut and about to set up the jig you created to file the bevels.

    • @Aleeknives
      @Aleeknives  Před 2 lety +1

      I would just drill a larger hole than your pin stock and allow the epoxy to fill in the void area around the pin. Of course this is not ideal situation but could work fine

    going to look good when it is done, was wondering how long it would take to bin off the grinder and get the files out lol, been there and done that, mind not even got a grinder now, I personally think you connect with what you are doing more with everything being done by hand, as you have seen what I do isn't exactly precise as in how you make things, had to go back with the files more than once to mess that up as doesn't look right for what I have made so far, roll on the next video and seeing the end results, should be well cool
