- I a lot of work went into restoring this pair of Air Jordan Bling 4's from 2000. I tried different shoe cleaners. I used Just 4 Kicks sneaker cleaner and Fz 150 from shoe doc. They both did very well to clean the shoes. These needed a new midsole and a very deep clean. I unyellowed the soles and did a sole swap.

I use FZ150 a lot and it works really good! I’ve been using it wrong when I got it, but to have a lot of foam you should dip your brush in water and pump a little bit of foam in the water.
Finally someone show how hard 4s is to make a soleswap, that polyurethane midsole job is the most time consuming process, I exactly know it's not easy to make it clean, I recently fully restored fire red mars 4s so I have a lot appreciaton on your job John, take care, upload more videos, there is a lot fans of your content right here!

You should try an electric rotary shoe polish brush for the insoles/liner, it does an amazing job of getting the deep trapped in dirt and working up a crazy strong lather. It's improved my cleaning time 5 fold and does a way better job than by hand.

Bro this is exactly how I do my outsole removal. People don't realize how HARD it is to remove the outsoles. Also I just did a pair of these 4s and they were so damn hard to completely line up due to the grey parts on the toe poking out.

Shoe Doc has a good shoe cleaner
After spraying the cleaner on them. Try using a soft brush and electric drill gun to get deep in the fabrics

Wouldn’t it be easier to use a pair of Pure Money 4’s as donors? I came up on a pair a few months ago and I thought of using those for a sole swap.
Side note: It seems that most Jordans made on/after 2016 are harder to separate; the glue that’s used is pretty strong, plus the additional stitching on some shoes (upper to midsole) makes it a challenge.
It sucks because pre-2016 J’s, despite being easier to separate, are more likely to crumble down the road.
Recently bought a pair of laser gun Jordan 4s I was wondering if it was ok to put them in the wash or if it would damage the shoe? I’m using the reshoeven8r laundry bag and kit
@@ironbeagle7976 Those are from ‘05, so the midsoles might crumble. Best to remove them and then wash the uppers by hand
It’s important to know how well the donors were kept. I still have my 2012 donors firm and strong. Aren’t the pure moneys going for $500+? Even if you buy a used pair, you’re still looking at $200+ for a decent sole to work with. The unpopular models aren’t as over inflated in price.
I would only use a pure money donor if the outsole of my bling 4s are shot. I prefer to use the original outsole on the shoes I’m swapping with

I don’t know what kind of products there are in the Philippines or what they sell at SM. If there’s a footlocker and they sell cleaning products I would start there. That’s what I used when I first started and they worked good

0:03 yes I believe you are right about these being the first triple white Jordan to release.
Btw, if you get the opportunity to work on another pair of these, make sure to get a midsole donor with silvery chrome colored columns inside of the air unit instead of white. The closest midsole to the color of original is the Jordan 4 Anniversary Laser from 2015. But thats if you want to make it super precise and close to the original from 2000.

You should find a method to whiten the edges of the leather (like on the toebox). I think there is some dye or paint that is meant for that
sneaker white from shoe doc is what you use on that. or a bleach pen, but they dont sell those anymore.

You should be okay. I don’t recommend putting shoes in water unless they are completely soiled. Leaving shoes in water will remove the natural oils of the leather. It’s important to recondition the leather afterwards if you do.

Please do a restoration of wings and backtabs like on cool grey 4s, how theyll be cracked would nice to know how to fix. and does dying pu foam work?
If it’s cracked, that can’t be repaired to its original state. You can fix it by removing the dried durabuck and paint match the suede but it’ll never have the same look and feel. You can dye polyurethane into a darker color. But not a lighter color if it’s a dark pu

I use Angelus shoe cleaner. They sell it by the gallon so it lasts a while and it does a good job cleaning my shoes
I like how they sell in big quantity. I bought a jug when I was in la at a leather supply store. You save a lot of money buying in bulk
