  • In this episode we are going to look at configuring VLAN Configuration.
VLANs are helpful in the administration of logical groups, allowing members of a group to be easily moved, changed, or added. This activity focuses on creating and naming VLANs, and assigning access ports to specific VLANs.
We will be discussing Verify the Default VLAN Configuration, Configure VLANs, and Assign VLANs to Ports.

Hi Kevin. If there is an issue with a port, does show VLAN command will be affected?

Hi Taher. The show VLAN will show the port if the port is an access port, regards if the port is connected or not. If the port is a trunk, the port will not be shown in a show VLAN command because the port is not in a VLAN.
