Thanks for the presentation. Please explain How the beams for bottom slab of tank function separately and how these will be cast at site? The deflection of the central beam along X axis and those along z axis shall be identical at the point of intersection. Node points need to be included in the beam which are absent. Another thing; The analysis shows 12 warnings. Your presentation is silent about dealing with the warnings. Why? How to deal with these warnings?

hello, How to apply seismic load in Elevated water tank if my bottom of the tank is at 15 mt. above G.L.
Height of tank is 3.0 mt. size is 5mt x 5mt.

No load digram shown. Varying hydrostatic pressure applied on bottom slab too ?
    No load combinations considered ?

I have doubt.. the frames of column and beam are designed in axial line then how the plate of side walls is seated above it. Whether the height of water tank what is designed manually is achieved in your design??

  • @allaboutcivilengineering.

Please check hydrostatic pressure application in the plates. Carefully see W1 & W2. I think there you have reversed the loads.

Sir why do the columns in your design don't extend up to the top portion of the tank? what will hold the plates, i mean, the walls?
