I was sitting in my home alone, quite miserable, and while looking for some music on CZcams this video popped up... And now I'm knitting vigorously the boneyard shawl, way much happier, all sad thoughts gone away... Thank you Stephen! 🥰
How do I get started knitting this shawl? I found the website and ordered it, will it be emailed to me???
Stephen, hands down you are one of the best instructors (and inspiring designers!) out there.
Wow, thanks! I'll keep sharing new videos each week. :)
Your style of teaching is unbelievably awesome. Please never stop teaching, your patience your explanation can't explain! Jo words to explain. Love from London!
Thanks so much!!
You are a gentle person. Watching this makes the daunting approachable. Thank you.
BEST tutorial ever on M1R, M1L and I cord bind off.
Thank you for sharing!!!!
Thank you so much! I have lots more increase and I-cord tutorials coming this spring. :)
I love the m1r and m1l reminders. 😊
Me three! It sounds waaaày easier this way.
You are a gifted teacher and such an inspiring artist. Thank you from all the struggling knitters out there, myself included. I also LOVE that you made this pattern free for those who want to try out making a shawl. Best wishes from Nova Scotia, Canada.
You are, without a doubt, the best knitting teacher I have ever seen/heard! Thank you.
It's a good thing to revisit classics from time to time
You are so much fun!!! ❤️ It is obvious you are very passionate about knitting and helping others along their knitting journey. Your explanations are so thorough. And I LOVE how you not only have the row you are working on typed out on screen, but HIGHLIGHTED the stitches you are working! Thank you so much for all you do!
Thanks for this! I’ve never knit a shawl and have had my eye on this one for ages. It’s so lovely 😍
You’re welcome 😊 I start dozens of shawls just like this, so you can unlock a whole world of top-down shawls. You can use this beginning to design your own work of art. It's so addicting!
2 of my favorites in 1 place!!🤩😍🤩😍
his patterns are amazing.
It is as if he finds the easiest path to get there. LOVE LOVE LOVE
You will love it. It a great shawl to show off your hand spun.
I've avoided shawls all of my knitting life and today I found you and have seen the 'shawl' light! Thank you
i always come back to this video when i need a M1R and M1L refresher because you explain it the best out of all the videos ive watched. thank you!!
Great to hear!
Stephen, yesterday morning I finished my first Boneyard Shawl and am proud of it. I started knitting it in 2018, so the pattern I began with was your original Boneyard Shawl pattern. My shawl was in hibernation for 4 years, so when I got back around to it this month your revised pattern was available. I used the I-cord bind off and it's perfect for this shawl.
Yesterday afternoon I began my second Boneyard Shawl, in large part because I found this video so inspiring. Love the changes set forth in the new pattern: garter tab, three garter stitch edging, I-cord bind off, plus general explanations to help us along the journey.
I love watching your videos, even if I'm not knitting the pattern at hand. Your attitude is always so positive and your kind warmth comes shining through. Thank you, Stephen.
What a fabulous way to remember M1R and M1L!
The Pro Tip on using the backwards loop vs the M1L or M1R was a game changer for ease of knitting for me!
Just found this, and you are a life saver! It's overwhelming at times trying to decipher a pattern, so the way you add the written notations on the screen as you do the actions really helps a lot!
You are so calm and clear--a brilliant teacher. It goes without saying, you're a brilliant designer. Thanks so much.
Okay, this is seriously the best knitting tutorial I have ever seen. I learned a lot AND was super entertained. I've seen your patterns before but I'm so glad I found your CZcams channel too! Thanks so much!
This was my first major knit after having brain surgery and I wore it to my first time going to Rhinebeck 😍 Thank you and keep knitting Kitten💚 🧶
