The tool is for measuring eyes and any other round part that you need to measure. Aussie Reborn Supplies has video tutorials about how to paint reborns with air dry and with Genesis. Even if you are not quite ready, definitely worth watching a couple to get an idea what you have there, what it is all for, and what you might still need (though with that haul I don't think you need much more). Great buy, ruler to measure eyes, neck and limb openings for rings. Haven't got one but a handy to have, especially if you get eyes muddled and unsure of size. Something to do in your spare time🤣🤣 🤣🥰

Hi, great buy. Hey you must get from Aussie Reborn Supplies the book on painting with her air dry paints. It would also work with heat set paints. The book if followed properly with give you a beautiful painted baby. The most important thing to remember with using paints is keep your colours translucent and build your colours! I think the ruler type thing is used to measure glass eyes!!!! I don't use it, but that's what I've seen it used for

Ruler is to measure eyes, neck and limb openings for rings. A ruler is essential for achieving straight lines, precise measurements, and perfect proportions in your artwork. It helps to keep everything in the proper place. Also, I would not recommend the Mod podge for Matting it is notorious for peeling and leaving a flaky mess leaving the paint unprotected. I bet if you check with ARS they will have something better for the final Matte. I know you said you are not ready to start just a word of caution using heat set paints. Find a well-ventilated place to do your bake the fumes from the heated vinyl are toxic and can cause lung problems. Can't wait to see your progression with your painting, I agree with the other comments look at lots of videos that are showing the painting progress. I watched them for 2 yrs before I started. Can't wait to get back to it health permitting. The pencils are for drawing hair and the long brushes are for painting hair, the piece of vinyl is probably a test piece.

Wow awesome find !! Genesis paints are hard to find now so this is perfect ❤❤ I haven’t seen that measure thing before but I read someone’s comment about it’s used for measuring eyes, that makes sense. Can’t wait for you to paint, how exciting !! You need to get some glass jars for making up your mottles and probably more thinners, otherwise looks like you have everything in that box . Hugs xx

@@ShellBellsChannel you will be surprised at how long those jars will last, then you can also get irresistibles they are heat set too and you can use them with genesis too. The oven was an awesome find ! Get yourself an oven thermometer and set it to 135 c when you start to paint. I got a big pack of small mason jars from the dollar shop for all of my washes (mottles). I’ll give you a step by step guided sheet that you can follow along to plus I’m sure you already know there’s so many tutorials here on YT. Or you could come to class 😃😃 ❤️❤️
