I'm still not sure if I trust AllTrue enough to purchase the box. Yes, this was a nice curation. But this appears to be the first season that does not include multiple items from before the debacle and buyout. Yes, the new owners have the legal right to use all of the assets that came with their purchase. But it doesn't sit well with me that throughout everything, AllTrue has talked about transparency and ethics on their website yet used products from the vendors who were never paid without acknowledging what happened. If they couldn't discuss details due to NDAs, they could have at least changed their copy to something a bit less glib.
I heard that they worked out new contracts with “old” vendors for new product because most of the old product was trashed when they filed Chapter 11.
Okay I barely made it half way thru the video and of course I will renew! I forgot how awesome the product is and getting to know new merchants and their story. Thanks for reviewing.
That's great to hear! I think it's worth giving them another shot since it's under completely new ownership. And honestly I don't mind having a few products from wayback available again because some of those beloved Causebox/Alltrue items could use a refresh!
Like you I was a subscriber since it was cause box, stayed through the rebrand got burned on my last box and didn't think I'd ever return. I found myself really missing Alltrue, so I was glad to watch your video! It will help me decide along with other resources whether I reinvest. Also I too love the magazine and hate QR codes. ❤
Yeah, it's really a different company that basically recognized the positive mission of Causebox/Alltrue and thought it was worth reviving despite having to overcome some understandable skepticism.
Like you, I prefer the magazine.

I prefer magazines, to be honest I rarely read the info from the QRPs in the boxes. I also agree that a magazine elevates a box.

I got burned by them. I only received one of the four boxes I paid for. Never going to give them another dime...despite the new ownership (which I have heard mixed things about)
Honestly, it seems like a completely different company aside from the name. I haven't always been a fan of Beachly either, but they've won me over in recent years.
The strawberry colander and the lemon pitcher do go great together 🍓🍋 Very cute!

After being gypped by the old Alltrue, I never thought I would be open to trying them again, but you are a miracle worker because I'm now considering giving them another chance. Shocking!
I totally understand people not totally trusting them, but honestly, it's because it's the same people behind Beachly that I was willing to give it a try. I wasn't always on board with Beachly, but I think they've figured it out.
I love the lemon vase! I just took a limoncello workshop, it was soo much fun!

The colander is pretty cute, but the frosted glass spray bottles would be really nice too if you use cleaning solution concentrate like I do. I really liked the planter too, but I'd go with the serum because Earth Harbor, of course. So many great options in this box.
Yes, I have a few nice glass spray bottles already, but I could see getting those if I needed more. I purposefully waited until I felt like they had "new" products, and I think they did well with their offerings this season.

I don’t know how Alltrue decided which subscriptions to fill and which to not. My mom, fortunately, received all the boxes she was owed when they resumed. I know that she took no action when they shut down. She didn’t try to do a charge back or get a refund or try to cancel her subscription. I wish Alltrue would make a public statement to explain what has happened and where they stand now. I still hear so much differing information about them.
That's basically what it was -- I believe if you stayed subscribed, they honored the subscription, but it's changed management even since then. I'm sure there are NDAs involved and I'm not sure how much information was actually passed on in the acquisition.
I agree that I miss the days when subscription boxes put magazines in their boxes. I am not a fan of scanning a QR code to get info and things like recipes or helpful tips on the products.

I got the lemon pitcher, and almooossstt did the strawberry bowl for an add-on. They usually do send the nice boxes, I think it’s just because you got too many things to fit.

Ok, as long as Alltrue has paid their venders in full. The colander is cute, I like it. Like the hydro pod, but am a bit surprised to see Earth Harbor. Thank you.
I think maybe brands are more willing to work with the new owners because they have demonstrated their ability with Beachly and Birchbox.
I enjoyed my Causebox subscription. I was lucky enough to get out before they went under.

Fair enough. This was the first season I felt compelled to give them another shot. And I feel like that's part of my job with this channel.
Looking forward to getting my packing cubes. I travel with just a school back pack (because I use crutches) and I'm hoping for a little more room. I really wanted the pitcher, but it was sold out, so I'm getting the berry colander. I think I'm getting the cannister, but maybe it's the Earth Harbor. I think I got the necklace. I wanted the room spray, but it was sold out. Not terribly impressed so far with the new "Alltrue".
Yeah, some of the more "useful" home products certainly aren't the most delightful ones, but maybe they'll see how subscribers choose and their offerings will evolve.
I have stayed with Alltrue, but I feel this is the worst box I've ever received from them. I don't feel the quality of products is worth $40. Maybe it was the things I picked, but very disappointed.
Hmm, I’ve been watching for the past couple of years and was mostly excited to see that there were finally no items from past boxes. I felt that the quality of the items was decent but we’ll have to see if the value remains with the slight price increase.
