Love that wig I've never seen a part like that
I have Mich and Dan, Fan is a closer match but Mich looks the best. Very easy to do and you get the hang after the first use. Yes a thin line and spread like peanut butter. I suggest using a flat tool similar to a knife or eyebrow spatula. I don't smooth the part, i make a parallel part on each side and smooth those so that you pull the hair up, which cleans up the main part and the other lines are smoothed out. Hard to explain but i have pics on Amazon.
I will never be without it but the wash out thins your hair i believe. Looks good 👍🏽

does my wig have yo be dry… is it ok if my wig is a little damp when i do this process

It can be if it’s not melted enough. You can’t apply it too runny because it will make a mess ( on the hair side). Using a hair dryer might be better because it does melt the product. You can have a bit more control over preventing it from becoming too runny. When it’s “just” melted( softened) it can be applied and not be too messy. If the product cools and becomes cakey, use the hair dryer to soften again.

Because the instructions say that the final result dries two shades darker. That's why.
