Dean is the actual representation of a depressed person bc you don't always seeing it and at first they don't kill themselves but acting that reckless without thinking of the consequenses you might die is a depressed behaviour. Its damn time that these charakters get appreciated ( and their frecking good actors too of course)

dean is such a realistic depiction of what having depression is like. he uses humor to cope with his fear, his trauma, and sadness. he doesn’t live for himself, he lives for others. he knows that if sam really died, that he would’ve killed himself a long time ago. he misunderstands his place, believing that he doesn’t matter. that nothing matters. the only thing he believes matters is protecting sam, something he’s done all his life. never showing his emotion-eventually it’s almost as if they all drained out a long time ago. he doesn’t care about himself. in fact, he shows self harming and suicidal tendencies with the way he takes care of himself (or lack there of). he doesn’t care if he dies. he wants to. but he can’t leave the people he loves. and that’s the hardest part. he doesn’t know how long he has to stay.

Dean is a damaged person a broken person he didn't deserve all this pain or how parents
Jensen brought to life through his character the very essence of depression and self loathing. He made me open my eyes to my own demons that I refused to deal with because I told myself all the time that I'm ok. I always keep fighting everyday and hope that someday I'll make a difference in mine or someone else's life by me just being here one more day but even at the end of the day I feel completely worthless and empty inside.
Poor Dean, he always has such a low opinion of himself. This is a wonderful vid, you did a great job editing it, and I love how clearly his freckles show in some of the clips!

This is the most accurate representation of Dean. Of course, it's the side of him he hates for people to see. Out of all of the edits I've seen, this has to be one of the most meticulously edited and well done edits. Most of them lack voiceovers, proper editing, and good music. I also like how the voiceovers don't interfere with the music.

Besides Sam (of course), Cas has played the biggest role in Dean in my opinion.
- "What's the matter? You don't think you deserve to be saved.." (Loved the way Cas stared and whispered btw) - A very important turning point for Dean pre & post self-acceptance triggered by his Gardian Angel.
- No matter who died, Dean somehow overcome and accepted it knowing their mission comes with tragic losses, until Cas died in S12 causing him to stopped believing in their mission. (Then after when Cas was back, his mood made a 180 turn)
- "You are like our brother, I want you to know that" to Cas. The only one besides Sam whom Dean accepted as his brother, and possibly the only best friend Dean ever had (or love of the life, as my guilty pleasure lol)
