I know a lot of folks like their banes big as possible, big hulking monsters but...This one is perfect. I could see an actual person looking like this, like Brock Lesnar.
Speaking of Brock Lesnar, the WWE figures are going really into plain clothes wrestlers, the tracksuit guy and Bushwhackers are perfect henchmen builders.

Great Review like usual bud, I couldn't get it from Japan. It sold out in my trusted go to stores. I did not want to to pay that $120 plus shipping from BBTS but it sold out there & when I saw it was in stock I had to pull the trigger.

Perfection. I got mine last week and, if you all want this…..get it sooner than later! He looks so amazing with all of the other Mafex villains. He looks great w/Mezco as well. I’m really hoping for a black suit variant of Knightfall bats bc Bane looks so good with the black variant Hush Batman.

I watched both your reviews on MAFEX bane and storm collectibles bane who seem to both have the overall best articulation vs other bane figures and I just wanted to ask which you think is better between the MAFEX and storm collectibles. I’m stuck because I like the green venom and bulky look on the storm collectibles but I have a feeling the MAFEX is a lot smoother to pose.

I tried to use your link for AmiAmi but MAFEX bane is already sold out on import websites even though you only posted it 4 days ago and the cheapest I can find is BBTS for $120 but I know that’s overpaying. Any clue if import websites will restock their figures anytime soon?

I got him and caped crusader. I hope we get a corresponding nightwing, and Robin at least, but really I want them all, catwoman, killer croc, scarecrow maybe they could skip ponytail joker or just give an extra head without it

It looks cool. I like the McFarlane more.
I have them both and I love them both for different reasons. McFarlane did such a good job with all the textures and detail sculpted in but Mafex has much better movement and actually looks straight out of the comic (without the cartoony paint the new release McFarlane Bane got). To me the Mafex Bane is the standard character before hitting the button and hulking out on Venom to become the McFarlane version.
This is spot on from Knightfall in every possible way

Agreed Tim Drake Robin & Knightfall/Balent Catwoman are my biggest wants from Mafex (along with Doomsday and Dan Jurgens Superman)
Allegedly they doing a Hush Tim that will fit into Hush or Knightfall. I just know he’s going to be so damn tiny…

@@Scorch904 Smaller, sure, but not tiny. He wasn't thaaaaat much shorter than the other characters, at least in Hush. Maybe a head shorter than Hush/Jason.

Mcfarlane Bane is good,but this is the original Bane,in my opinion the best.
Did anyone here preorder the McFarlane Bane 2-pack directly from MTS? I did within the first 10 minutes it was up, yet my order still says "awaiting fulfillment." I emailed and they said my order was confirmed. This is the first time something I got from MTS hasn't shipped within the window they estimated which was June. Is anybody else still waiting on it from MTS?
Mine shipped last week - I would suggest emailing their customer support (an order I made last xmas took about 2 months to ship!)
@Jag2045 The funny thing is I wake up today and got a notification that MTS has shipped off my Tumbler/Fox 2-pack but Bane is still "Awaiting Fufillment"

I hope mezco gives us bane, riddler, penguin action figure, it's been long they have not given us batman rogues, last I can think of was Mr Freeze. Can't wait for mafex to tease us knightfall catwoman as that's my favorite jim ballent art work.

No matter how well articulated this mafex is, i still think the dc universe classics looks much nicer. Just my opinion.

I got the Mattel C&C one too, and it was my definitive Bane...until this one. It happens on occasion when someone doesn't have the Mafex version, they try convincing themselves one they already have is better. Been there myself.
Even if you're not a fan of the size of the head and hands with this one, it's light years better than the Mattel one. One's a toy, the other is a super articulated really high quality piece of art.

he seems to be out of stock everywhere. Even at BBTS. With these type of releases, you have to keep an eye out long before they're released. When they're announced and jump on preorders. A few weeks ago, he was available for preorders on pretty much every website in the world. But after launch, especially with such a sought after release, it's evaporating from stock in the same day. Best bet remains Ebay at the moment, until the prices dont jump even higher

Always go with AmiAmi (or even Hobby Link Japan) with your import figure orders. You save money, they're packed well, great customer service, and arrive _waaaay_ faster (always go with DHL shipping) than US sites like Big Bad.

@@dHuntersReviews McFarlane went for the stylized Kelly Jones look. Bane has those blue shades in the comic. Not knocking the Mafex one. It looks fine but maybe a bit too plastic.

Hey, just wondering what you mean by a bit too much plastic on the Mafex one? Like are you saying you don't prefer the smooth material comic look, and like the sculpted realistic texturing of the McFarlane one more?
He size might be Kelley homes but he most certainly ain’t the Kelley jones version of Bane

I'm having a real hard time understanding how people prefer this one over the McFarlane one. It's tiny, it's overpriced, articulation is better than McF's but even its body looks like a regular figure's... I just don't see it. Power to those that can afford both without having to think about it but for me this is an extremely easy pass.
It's neither tiny nor overpriced. The actual price of a Mafex figure was 8500 yen until very recently, which is around $50. So pretty much just 2 McF figures. That's the retail price, if you were to go in a figure store in Japan and pick it off the shelf. What we're paying in logistics, customs, shipping above that - it's just the nature of getting a figure from one country into another. That doesnt factor into the actual retail price of Mafex figures. Mafex uped their prices lately a bit, so this Bane is around $60.
The reason a lot of people prefer this one is because lots of folks have a very set idea of how a certain character has to look like, and most people have the Mafex idea of Bane in their mind. The McFarlane look is not what most people have in mind when they want a Bane to get. Plus, it's a megafigure, so it won't scale with many collections, which is another point many care about.
Also, videos and pictures don't really do justice to the imense gulf in quality between Mafex and McFarlane. You really need to handle a Mafex yourself in order to understand. How the plastic feels in your hand when you touch it, compared to McF. How it looks. How every joint moves. The range. The silhouette of the figure. The look while posed - Mafex has probably the best looking, most beautiful sculpts when knees and elbows are bent. Everything flows perfectly and has a terrific look to it. McF on the other hand has the worst cuts in the whole industry. Nobody has knees and elbows as abruptly cut as McF. When you move the joints its unquantifiably stiffer, more unnatural and worse feeling to handle than any Mafex. More high end figures really need to be experienced personally in order to understand why some people get them over McF/Marvel Legends. You won't know why just from videos
@@dz6ru I've had and had Mafex as well as Mezco. The prices are not justified half the time. I get your argument about scaling but it's a non-factor for me because I've systematically replaced all my 1/12 stuff over what I believe is a superior product based on sculpting, local availability, and pricing. The shoulders on this Bane look god awful, I'm sure there's a way to get range without adding two jawbreakers at the top of the arm. You can romanticize Mafex all you want but $60-90 for single figures that are tiny (in comparison to the price tag, as well as my preferred scale) won't win me over, which is fine. More for y'all lol
I think it's preference. I personally like Todd's more because he looks larger than life, like the cell mate of batman's nightmares and it's lights out in the prison showers......with extra slippery soap...

I can’t wait for you to review that cyborg Superman by mcfarlane. I think that one is going to be great! I only have mcfarlane figures but I just preordered a dark knight returns Batman from mafex, not shipping until December this year though on big bad toy store.
