I love meimei so much so thanks for putting all these songs together! Tears running through my eyes because of all this nostalgia lol. Just wanted to mention CYCLES and Lionheart that meimei sang and was composed by Masayoshi MInoshima (ALR). Absolute boppers but less well known since they're technically outside of the circle. ^^
C'mon, why ALR only? I do understand that they were awesome in electronic music, buuuut how about more heavy genres? Mei worked with CrowsClaw and Pizuya's Cell (when Pizuya was doing some impressive rock/metal stuff). Also, monochrome coat. Those are really cool songs, not only touhou, but originals as well - what a nice topic for our cute Rio to research and enjoy. Maybe it'll be another mix in the future Anyways, nice mix this is! Nostalgic. A lot of cool old songs and I don't want to know how actually old these are, otherwise I'll be scared by how old I am myself
Rio, I need some help man. I have no idea why, must be an aspect of my fucking autism or some shit, but for some reason the only music I have ever genuinely liked are these odd touhou edm remixes sung by foreign woman. And for some god forsaken reason, 90% of these songs I like are sung by none other than Mei Ayakura. The problem with this is the finitude of these songs, and how unbelievably niche the english speaking community for them are. I find myself at the end. And I don't really know what to do, or where to look. I've dabbled with other vocalists works but they just don't hit the way Mei does. They get close, and some songs do stand out. Murasaki Hotaru has come the closest. Nachi would be a close third. And then there's mican, tsubaki and nomico (nomico is what started this whole thing for me btw). Idk man. Being such a demographic anomaly, I'm very closeted with my music tastes and am very very very embarassed by them. Thus, I reach out to you and the 5 people in this community for liberation. Do you have a special playlist or any site reccomendations where I can find more? Is there anywhere I can just buy things that don't exist anywhere on the internet?
@@user-mi9nw1ev1s I have no fucking idea man I'm just a weirdo. I don't know why I like what I like but it's what I like. But to answer your question, I've found a mix of both produces the best results, but it's the vocals that really make or break it for me.
@@BiggieChungulus I actually really relate to you, touhou edm isn't a requirement for me, but I cannot like music that isn't sung by japanese women. American vocals make me very uncomfortable. Well, I have some singer suggestions but you might already know all of them: Chata Nayuta (^both have many songs under eastnewsound) 3L yanagi nagi Ayaponzu* and Ayo (ShinRa-Bansho) nomico not touhou: Hatsuki Yura (she has sung many touhou songs too, but nowadays she makes her own stuff) Kano Ayakura Mei is also my favorite singer so I think you might like these too.

What are your favorite chata songs? Part of the reason I only have like 2 in my playlist are because her stuff is very hard to find, or maybe I'm not looking hard enough. Also I'll have to really look into the non touhou artists. It's a shame though, to think there's a good chance I've discovered all the mei songs out there.
Idk. Alstroemeria Records' tracks are weird. There's a sense of longing and euphoria. But I seldom find myself listening to it. It's not that it's not good, it's just that there's too many enjoyable tracks that I can't enjoy cause there's no time for me to.
Everything after Plain Asia, is where and when ALR lost it's charm in my opinion :( Too technical and dubsteppy sadly. Highly Responsive to Prayers and Romantic Fall are true classical gems.
