- Welcome back to the channel! This week on DHG we are bringing you the beautiful Cleeve Hill Golf Club, located in the Cotswolds, right above the Cheltenham Racecourse.
In this video, Myself, Bernie, Paul and Gilly will be playing a 6 6 6 betterball match swapping partners after each 6 holes. Who do you think will have the most points by the end?

Referring to gillies comment about Paul's 1/4 zip I like it I'd definitely wear something like that on the course. Referring to Dan's question about the ring.. My grandad used to own a fair bit of land and he had something similar to that (if I'm right in thinking it's bushes creating the ring) and it was like a marshland type circle where he let over grow all through the summer and then cut it down just before winter and he would always tell us it was for wildlife and when he cut it before the winter it allowed it to fill up with water but never over flow as the regrowth would soak it up. I could be completely wrong and that could be something completely different. Also not sure if any of you have ever played it but westmon golf club in South Wales is a higher course again with the 14th tee being 1500feet above sea level
Paul looks very stylish in his peachy salmon coral top! Finishing part 1 all square was a bit of a surprise. I thought Bernie and Gilly would take it.
Paul would be very welcome here in Salisbury with his salmon top, would fit in very nicely with all the salmon trousers!!
Played at Cleeve Hill the other day with my Wife. What a brute of a course in the wind!! Carved a drive about 170 on the hole with the logo tree (into the gale) and then pumped one green high on 17 for 412 yards!! (Obviously downwind and downhill 😂)
Hated it and nearly walked in, but loved finishing the course and had a great time on looking back.

I missed the stats graphic You started to use giving percentage of make by different handicps. It is nice that unlike other bloggers you are not asking for likes and comments every five minutes. However you deserve more followers, likes and comments. Great work

great to see cleeve hill G/C again, One of the best pay n play courses around. last played there in late 80,s early 90,s wth the Rover CAB golf society.
As I’m playing here on Friday I thought I’d watch it again 👍🏼 Vintage Golf clubs for us! What can go wrong

Played Cleeve in a 30mph wind and hit 4 iron into that par 3 from about 110 yards!

Breath taking views, outstanding camera work, a putter change by Paul plus one of the smoothest swings I’ve ever seen, a history lesson from Dan, two pitch shots by Bernie, and the always sharp wit of Gilly. Well I’ve been away for a few weeks and have loads to catch up on but have just paused the video after the 1st tee from everyone and had to check I was on the right bloody channel, I was so confused, I just saw four ‘golfers’ teeing off. It was a thing of beauty.
(I suspect I may see some other sides as the video goes on haha) great to see your faces again
Haha - the 4th. Ah dear oh dear.Wrong strategy there. That was always one to accept as a three shotter. Now, if you that hole to show its teeth, play it as a par 4 off the yellows. Into that prevailing wind.

I love it when you vlog courses I have played, been looking forward to this one for weeks. Nice to see some of my favourite spots, below the green on the 2nd (almost an impossible up and down), right of the green on no 4 (another place to avoid) and Gilly just avoided another one of my favourites, down the dip left side of the 5th). I can't believe how flat the camera made the 3th hole look, it is very uphill. Great vlog so far, good golf, stories and amazing views.

I got a few days behind, but that course is views o’clock all day! Wow! Definitely some tiny greens. Always amazed how they designed courses that long ago. Very impressive! Dan just in your glory with a course that has that much history to share! Great part one 👍🏻

I reckon that's my favourite looking course you guys have played! Def on my bucket list now!!! The humour helped though, 'Sandy Heard, Vardon and Gilly' absolutely priceless 😂
Great stuff again boys. Loving the salmon pink on Paul. The scenery is breathtaking with that wind I would be playing yachting golf ie tacking into the wind up the holes. Those greens looked small and tricky. Great to have Gilly back on.
I have a silver cup which my great grandfather won in the Cleeve Hill golf club match play competition 1919!! I have played there many times myself. Very much like an inland links but with little in the way of thick rough!
Paul's peach was getting all the comments, poor Gilly had obviously put all the effort in at breakfast that day to create a fitting tribute to Dr Mackenzie in the front of his own jacket... 2 tiers at its best!

After a 4 day Bank Holiday impacted by 2 little ones with a sickness bug and chickenpox, the DHG boys serve up the ideal 4 ball and Gilly ripping into Paul on the 1st tee.... suddenly all seems better in the world.

Course looks great. Wind obviously a factor but I would take that because of the difficulty. Well played guys. Gilly must have taken a happy pill 😂, no launching clubs today, well so far. Dan, hitting some great shots, driving sorry m8, but unexpected. Paul, well in the peachy/salmon coloured attire, just yuk 😂. Great player though as is Bernie. Really enjoyed the 1st third. Another gem in Gloucestershire is Cotswold Edge, stunning views there too.
