STORY OF THE FAMILY: Not sure how to begin telling my story, but here’s what led to this monstrosity of a deplorable home.
After 9 years of being in a domestic violence relationship I finally got away from the abuser. I was slowly becoming more confident and doing well. COVID gave me and others in my home cabin fever and I began drinking. While being constantly harassed by the abuser from afar and my family fighting with me over something minor like invitations to a function , I get told some very personal disturbing information that crippled and devastated me. Guilt and shame drove me to the unthinkable and I was on life support. After surviving I was sent to the appropriate setting but was released with no available aftercare and then the self medication with alcohol started and I just slept. No one else bothered cleaning since I always did and it lasted for two years until I was looking to get help and hire help but I got sepsis from a relative who was brain dead but was a donor so I went to their bedside. Got very ill and somehow survived 4 months. I had no fever, I wasjust swollen and my psoriasis got very bad. nothing was not done at all at two other hospitals. Finally after begging EMS to take me to the next county they found the infection and saw that it gave me
major organ failure. Spent2 months in the hospital on palliative care with antibiotics and getting blood transfusions but made a miraculous turnaround when I was given days to live and told I would have died that very night if I had not called 911. Came home to get my life back and get this home together, not even looking for a cleaner I was on marketplace looking for cleaning supplies and found this wonderful person whom is a huge blessing named Barbie who did not charge me a dime and is working her butt off to give me my home back to pre depression era. Thank you for not judging and doing such a beautiful job on my home. She’s god sent.

I don’t understand why your viewership has not reached 100k either. I love your videos because they are REAL. Believe me, each resident is grateful for your help - cleaning, listening, supplies, whatever. You show you care by being there for them. It can’t look brand new every time since these apartments/houses are old and have had some damage done to them as well as wear and tear.

While I understand all types of people, from all walks of life are susceptible to depression, I just don't like seeing free cleanings done for those who i know can afford to hire. Not when so many others have no other option.

I think it's good to show old houses getting clean, many people think that they have to be dirt broke but they don't think that they can be clean and poor which will enrich their lives more.

Growing up I did live in old homes. 11 siblings I was 4th oldest. Cleaning older home’s aren’t as satisfying although what you do for others is such an act of loving kindness and I’m hoping others will see your purpose more than their gratification in the end!

I enjoy these videos the most. The ones of the really trashed older homes and how you make them look so much better! It doesn’t have to be a new modern apartment to be satisfying. You took an old burnt out apartment in the projects and made it clean, safe, and livable. That’s a superpower. Don’t give up on your work, Barbie! You are needed!
There are more people that we realize that have bathrooms and kitchens with old appliances and fixtures, and that could use some repairs and a fresh coat of paint. This is real life and families learn to make do with what they can't change or are willing to live with. I appreciate seeing real, unstaged clean ups. They're more relatable to me that some HG TV set up. You do your best with what you are presented, and it always looks good when you're done -- that's why we love and appreciate you!

another wonderful job, Barbie! i don't know why your channel isn't growing as fast as you'd like either. you are so great to want to help so many people with your free cleanings. most people don't live in brand new houses or apts. in fact, most of us probably live in older ones! i know i do. when there's mold inside the caulking, there's no way to get that out. one must strip off old caulk and replace with new and that's not something all of us can do on our own or afford hiring someone to do. this bathroom and the kitchen looked so amazing after you cleaned them. they were clean enough and healthy enough for the people to live in. there's nothing you can do about bad floors, walls, etc. i hope you can keep doing what you love and keep sharing it with those of us that appreciate you! you are loved!!

the other youtube shows have people with a big house and lots of possessions but there are plenty of people live in rental housing. I find the gluttony on show from hoarders really offensive, having so much and yet living in squalor! This person has big problems, living the best way they can - thank you for helping them. I hope their health improves and they can find the strength to live a happy, healthy life 💐
I think SOME dirty or hoarded homes are caused by landlords not keeping the properties nice . I have cleaned carpets repainted rooms replaced caulk in rentals in my past because i was a perfectionist. Living in ugly broken places made me depressed and low self esteem. there are beautiful properties people abuse and destroy and i feel sorry for those landlords . But sometimes living in ugly places makes people give up or get depressed.

What I would love to see is a home owner/renter actually help her clean! Maybe they have never been really taught how to really keep a house. But I understand the housing authority. If they have a house that looks like this why would they want to give them something brand new and have it end up in this condition.

You're not kidding that they are sick. You know how I know? The pink water pitchers. Those are the kinds used in hospitals, and I have seen at least 3 so far in this video. That means at least 3 hospital admissions. And I'm sure the state of the apartment isn't helping their health, but since they're not well, they aren't able to clean, and it's a downward spiral. Thanks for breaking the spiral, hopefully things will get better from here. Many blessings!

Hello, Barbie! I think that you are absolutely right about the reason why the channel doesn't grow as much as others do. I think that most people like to see the before and after photos showing a complete and absolute change. For a lot of people that provides a mental relief when they see how something can change. I like those channels, but I also love to see how you help people to improve their living conditions, specially when, most of the time, they have no one else to help them. I really appreciate what you do, and what I think is that, maybe, you could alternate the kind of videos, so more people can see them and see what you do for these people. I don't know it was just an idea.

I’ve been through so many CZcams cleaning channels and let me tell you that you are the best ! You are not scared of any kind of mess, not scared of mice or cockroaches, you go through the most brutal toilet with no mercy and you always nail it.
I think that maybe if some remodeling sponsors can get associated with you so lets say after your amazing cleaning work they can go through remodeling so then some viewers can feel more satisfied.
But in my case I don’t need new appartments or remodelation I just love your job as raw as it is for me is just perfection and I wish more people can reach through your channel ❤

Those pink plastic pitchers and pink plastic basins are definitely from the hospital. My mom kept hers too - growing up in the depression era they did not have much so kept everything! We had a lot of stuff like that to go through after she passed. Their generation was not a "throwaway" generation. 👼🙏

People who don't watch older home videos obviously have never struggled and probably don't clean either. You are wonderful. I have to be honest, I wouldn't rent to someone who lives that way either. I try to rent a nice rental and don't want them torn up.

@@LadyAurora10Yes, unless they’ve been “ill” for 30 years. I know so many “ill” people with perfectly acceptable homes. This is an insult to them, to say that mental illness causes this. I also have had a friend and a family member who don’t clean and don’t care and their homes look exactly like these homes. It’s the way they live that causes this, thus lifestyle. What they value determines how they spend their time, thus lifestyle, again. My opinion and what I’ve seen with my own eyes.

Some people have this terrible need to demonize ill people being just "lazy" or having "low morale" or something like that. It's vile. It's actually way worse of a personality flaw than being messy for x / y / z reasons. I bet they are better people than all of you who are just judging them. When the after is still a shabby run down apartment but clean and tidy it helps me, because I live in a shabby run down apartment myself, and I often struggle to see results in my own home but see them in the ones you show, so it is motivating and helps me feel there is a purpose in getting off my butt. The one thing I can think of right away that could help your viewer numbers, is to remind viewers at the very beginning of every single video, to hit the like button and to subscribe. EVERY video, at the beginning. I believe that will help with the algorithm more than anything and put your videos in front of more eyeballs.

Are there any local youtubers who do renovation/restoration projects? Not for a collaboration necessarily but like an ongoing reference/partnership. You clean, they come in and paint/fix rotten boards, and then you both show the after?

The sad thing is the company that owns these units don’t upgrade until the tenant is gone even if it is 20 yrs. the people in the company wouldn’t think of living in a place in this state. They just don’t care about other people. The quiet people that live in these places and can’t get the help they need. So sad and a bad commentary on mankind caring

I cried a little while watching this. I clean some houses like this. People just don't understand the trauma and illness that is behind these houses! You are my absolute favorite cleaner. As an American I understand that a lot of people live in apartments that are run down and dilapidated. You are a miracle worker. Personally I don’t see why it should matter if an apartment is older or newer. Even if you can’t get all the stains out, the transformation is amazing. As far as I’m concerned it isn’t about the beauty of the home, it’s about giving a person their home back, a clean sanitary place to live. Yes it’s nice if you’re able to bring a room or a whole apartment back to its original beauty, but to me it’s about the fresh start you give them in life. So it boggles my mind as to why your channel isn’t growing. Wishing you much luck for many more subscribers!

Ich gebe offen zu das es mich total stört diese alten Wohnungen zu sehen, denn das etwas nicht fertig gemacht ist bzw nicht gemacht werden kann macht mich wahnsinnig. Ich arbeite immer über meine Grenzen und dann (so wie heute, da ich gestern mal wieder versucht habe das Bad zu verschönern) sagt mir mein Körper das es zuviel war. Nun muss ich Ruhe halten und therapiere mich selbst mit solchen Videos, in denen es nicht perfekt sauber sein kann sind. Danke❤️

I love the fact that you clean older homes and apartments. There is true need there, and you have a heart of gold to go in there and battle the bugs, the mice, the mold, and the rotten food. I personally prefer videos that are at most a half hour, but I'm sure there are many who love the longer videos. I will send up positive thoughts for rapid growth for your channel.
I love that you are giving them a clean bathroom and kitchen...those are the most used rooms and should be sanitized regularly. I hope your channel explodes....people need to like and subscribe, but they also need to watch all of the ads. And comment...it all helps.
